The Erskine Arms is a traditional foodie pub nestled in the heart of the medieval walls of Conwy. The pub offers a laid-back and friendly atmosphere to enjoy some fresh local food, great local ales, a glass or two of good quality wine and for those from f
A group of seven of us dined here on a Saturday evening. The food and service were good but the noise level was horrendous from a table of about fifteen nearby and we could barely hear ourselves think, let alone talk. This spoiled what may have been a very good evening. The menu is quite interesting and there is a good wine selection, all at reasonable prices. I had the mackerel starter, which was excellent, followed by a delicious roast pork shoulder. Unfortunately, the taste of the pork was somewhat overpowered by the accompanying cassoulet with chorizo. What is wrong with the taste of pork that it needs to be overpowered? My apple crumble dessert was excellent. Others in our party all enjoyed their meals. Décor is standard pub, but is quite spacious.

Located on the Deganwy side of the Conwy river with views over to Conwy and the famous Conwy castle, the Castle View provides a welcoming atmosphere to enjoy the best locally sourced home cooked food. Real ales, international lagers and good wines complim
We called in one lunch time after travelling from Deganwy Station to Blaenau Ffestiniog to see the scenery and returning. The 'Hop on hop off' sightseeing bus also passes by. The menu offers a good choice and the food was well cooked (hake with leeks and chorizo and haddock risotto). Dessert was a brilliant citrus cheesecake and berry compote. Service was efficient and friendly. Would definitely go again.

We ordered food which took for ever to arrive. The starters were good, my partner had a burger which was fine. However my pie was still frozen in the middle. When I brought this to the attention of the staff the waitress said sheâs warm it up. We had waited over an hour and I said it wasnât really safe to partially warm food and re serve. I asked for a refund. She gave me back the value of my purse. Very disappointing. HelloI'm disappointed to read you comments but its not unexpected as you did say you would put a bad TripAdvisor review on here if we didn't give you free drinks... we didn't and here we are.I do read all reviews as customer service and experience is vital to our business. I can confirm we don't use frozen for a start, Chef makes all the pies, I will accept that the restaurant was exceptionally busy at the time of your visit, we explained the significant wait on food order but I'm pleased to read your party enjoyed the starters and burger.
