Donât be put off by the decor, the staff are brilliant. The menu is extraordinary and the food is wonderful. We went there for the first time yesterday and were a bit worried when we went in, it looks just a bit tired on first view. But we were so welcomed by the friendly staff that we felt at home straightaway. The food, all prepared on site, was just wonderful. The risotto was superb and the chicken, ham hock and leek pie was excellent. Very reasonable prices completed a great night. Despite it being forty miles away we will be going back.Highly recommended.

A contemporary country inn with its fair share of history, The Parkers Arms is located just outside of Clitheroe in the prettily sleepy village of Newton in Bowland where, so were told you can hear the grass grow. The beautifully traditional whit
We were touring Lancashire and wanted to try this recommended, award-winning pub. I called to make a reservation but was told I needed to do it on-line.It's in a beautiful, countryside location and has a rustic ambiance, with sufficient parking outside. The service was friendly but slow. There was a reasonable selection of food and wine. Though the pub wasn't busy, we had to wait for nearly an hour for our food to arrive. Drinks were also slow to be brought to the table. The food was of good quality but not outstanding. It was expensive and not great value for money. Overall, a shame as we were looking forward to it

Elegant, rural country Inn offering luxury B&B, seriously good Steak Restaurant and genuine warm welcome from owners Frances & Jonathan. 8 boutique bedrooms complete with French antique beds, fluffy slipper comfort mattresses and wet room bathing. Real lo
I often pass this Inn at the beginning of the week when they aren't open. Today we came specially to have a taste. A warm welcome from the 'scouse' barman. Inside is larger than you imagine with lots of dining areas. We found a table in a snug.Good selection of ales. The menu covers everything, we only wanted a snack so chose the roasted vegetable with homous salad with a side order of chips. It arrived promptly and was well presented with a good portion of chips. The food was delicious. Other tables had equally appetising dishes. As I said our waiter was great, I just felt that some of the other staff seemed more orientated to regular customers, natural in some ways but a little off-putting. I reserve judgement till next time. Will return for a full meal next time. The prices seemed reasonable for the quality.

Why it why is this place still running with the appalling customer service. Yeah, nice setting. Nice views. It ends there. Draws you in on a nice sunny day then robs you off all your soul, spirit, good values and money!! Management want sacking instantly as they are the most rude and disgusting kind Iâve ever come across. Get some experience and manners behind this bar before you go under. You ought to be ashamed.

Went for an office Christmas lunch here and had a good time. Liked the food : well prepared and presented (had the veggie options of goats cheese salad and tagliatelle), and the service was good too. The portions weren't too large but that's good thing at this time of year with so much eating going on; quality not quantity seems to be the watchword. Pleasant atmosphere, newly refurbished.
