We visited on a Saturday evening. The menu provided a great choice and the quality of the food was excellent. The service was very good and the surroundings were very nice.We would definitely recommend this restaurant.

The Moat House Inn will be serving grills, steaks from our wood fired oven and authentic Italian pizzas. And of course, we'll be offering all the other delicious food and drink you've come to expect from a lovely pub
Just returned from a lively large group of family and Friends eating at the Moat House A number of different areas to eat in from private function areas to cosy fireside by the barwe all pre ordered food so had great variety chosen and quality of meals was very high in my opinion The salmon on roasted sweet potato on bed of curry lentils with watercress and yogurt based dip was cooked to perfection very generous portion size aswell Staff very friendly at all times would definitely recommend eating there and look forward to going again soon

Came on a groupon voucher, which didnât seem to be any different price really than the normal half price, still a good value meal at that.Generally good all round - friendly and efficient staff, nice old surroundings (no real ambiance but hotel booked out that night so didnât expect many people in the restaurant, although any would have been nice!), and food fresh and tasty.Plenty of food with great presentation. Canât say all was to my taste but enjoyed the experience. Would come back, perhaps when warmer to enjoy outside

Sunday lunchWe stayed in the indigo for the weekend but each night this restaurant was fully booked. However we managed a Sunday lunch....The beef was lovely and the Yorkshire puds were huge, the pork belly had too much fat and not enough meat, but tasty.Service was good apart from being the only ones in the restaurant not to be offered a drink from the drinks trolley, rather disappointing. Expensive for what you get but very tasty and included is service with the bill without getting a choice.Dear JohnmF5711TT, The Woodsman books up very far in advance at the weekends but we are glad that we could accommodate you this afternoon. Thank you for passing on your feedback about your Sunday Lunch with us and it has been delivered to the relevant departments. I apologise that you were not offered the drinks trolley. This must have been a genuine oversight on our part, however had you made your server aware we would have sent it over immediately or alternatively offered you a digestif on us. Service is optional and can be instantly removed if a guest so wishes but we are glad that you find your meal tasty. Next time you join us if you contact myself directly on [email protected] we can ensure that you have a drink from the trolley!Best, Rachael

Ate at the Kings Arms today with friends. Fabulous cooked to order locally sourced food. Good selection of wines and great staff. The lamb special was amazing and my husband loved his fish special. The cheese plate of local cheeses, chutney and crackers was a perfect end to the meal. Eat here.
