Aââ wonderful 16th century pub in the quaint village of Great Missenden. Set in the Chiltern Hills this little gem offers great food, sourced from the best local suppliers and is the perfect setting to quench your thirst after exploring the historic villa
Sunday lunch in a typical small English town is the thing to do on a sunny Sunday. The Cross Keys played it's part in this quintessential scene. The welcome was warm and friendly. The selection of drink good. The menu, most acceptable. Unfortunately the execution of the food was at best average. Although a nice selection of vegetables accompanied the roast meats, why oh why smother the dish in bland gravy. Such a shame to spoil a classic.Thank you for your review which is a little surprising as we have never had a average review on our Sunday roasts

We had a great value Travelzoo voucher for 2 courses and a glass of fizz. The setting is idyllic, the young staff are lovely and very efficient and the food is fabulous. As we walked in I saw the Thai menu and assumed it was only available on certain nights, so was very pleased to be given this menu as well as the standard one as it was included in the deal. The curry was very pleasingly hot (maybe too much for some people but perfect for me!). A great place, and I hope to return.

A pub for people with great taste, The Pomeroy is perfectly equipped to accommodate all of your unique dining requirements, no matter what the occasion. Whether you pop by for a scrumptious Sunday lunch to end a great weekend on a high, or for a celebrato
This is a great place but maybe living on its past few great years. Staff helpful and pleasant but not knowledgeable about the menu or products. eg. didn't know what Lavash Bread on Menu was or which if any specials were included in Fixed price. Also not terribly quick to find out without prodding. Black chips served were described as 'normal' and they did taste OK but looked burnt, no explanation as to why. It won't put us off because we like the location but we will wait a few months before returning.Hi 621simond,Many thanks for taking the time to leave us a review. We shall certainly be taking your comments on board, and refining our efforts to ensure our food and service offering is the best around. Thank you once again for your comments, and we look forward to seeing you back at the Pomeroy Soon.

The main bar is especially busy at weekends perhaps request our Dining Room which is quieter. We look forward to seeing you soon. Kind regards Amanda Lillitou

Great British Pub, offering bar food and fine dining. private function room available. Parking. Local real ales. Good choice of wines and spirits. Warm Welcome.
The team at The Plough provided a wonderful lunch for a group of us on Saturday 13th October. They were very flexible and tolerant to our 'cyclists' situation and time pressures. They could not have been nicer. The food was some of the best pub food ive had, both for hungry adults and kids. Thank you again.

The White Lion does what any decent pub should. We serve great beer, delicious handcrafted food and the best coffee.
We returned to the White Lion after a few years and found that the food is still excellent, we booked a table as we were concerned we would not get in but we did not need to bother, it is obviously not as popular anymore due to the poor service from the girls working there and the music which was too loud and not suited to the clientele in the restaurant, obviously the music was just for the staff. On a positive side the food was excellent and very good value, we will probably return again some time just for the food.Really sorry to hear about this but I think you have left a review on the wrong White Lion pub. We are in little Chalfont & our band plays to all our customers. we are more than happy for you to come and visit us at The While Lion, Little Chalfont and hope to give you a better experience.

300-year old traditional Country Pub / Restaurant in beautiful picturesque olde worlde English village. Wisteria round the door, wooden and carpetted floors, real log fires, original beams. Private areas available for functions.
Friendlt, welcoming staff from start to finish. The menu was varied and creative. The food tasted awesome. Served beautifully. Prices are a little more than we pay locally, but when you have quality food and portions like we had and saw others. You dont mind. We eat out at least once a week and i can honestly say, that it was the best meal with extensive choicesThanks so much for taking the time out to review The Hit or Miss. It's kind of you to describe your experience as the "Best meal out ever!", we will make sure the staff team know this. Great of you to also mention how friendly and welcoming the staff were along with your kind words on the menu, taste and presentation. Please visit again soon and enjoy another meal with usâ¦
