So...the Tripadvisor reviews did not lie. The food and drinks at this place was amazing. And our waiter Sebastian, even more awesome. We went with ALL his recommendations and we're not disappointed. Very good food, which was also quite creative, although not yet world-class. The small, white dining room is very comfortable, service is good, even for English speakers. The wine pairing was passable but disappointing, not on the level of a great restaurant like Borago. On the whole, it's definitely worth a visit. I would go back to see how the place evolves. I found the after-dinner "speakeasy" upstairs to be an ultra-loud waste of time for naive tourists, enticed to drink too many cocktails made with B-list alcohol.

"Verde Sazon" is an exceptional spot, all-around.Great food - and vegetarian or vegan - plus a great drinks list, including local craft beers & a fine wine selection (of course!)The setting is comfortable but not pretentious, and staff are kind, welcoming and speak English.We will definitely be back (often!), and worth a visit if you're in the Barrio Italia 'hood.
