Discover Restaurants offering the best Fusion food in San Cristobal de las Casas, Chiapas, Mexico. A stronghold of Mayan culture, San Cristóbal’s colonial stucco walls and Spanish tile roofs contrast with the surrounding villages, which remain home to an array of Mayan-descendant Indians. The city itself is a delight. Paired with the cultural diversity surrounding it, there’s nothing like it in Mexico.

The food for breakfast is great. Try to get there early because they have only very few tables (as almost everywhere else in San Cristobal). Huevos motulenos and the burritos were delicious. We ate there every day during our stay in town. Service can be just a little slow at times. You get your 2nd cup of coffee free. Prices are very reasonable.

The place looked nice in the middle of an artisanal shopping arcade but the food was poor and the service worse. To be avoided...

This small and cheerful resto is part of an organization that promotes local artisans. Our meal was superb, taking us beyond what we typically think of as Mexican food. The advice of our young server was invaluable, and available to us in English and Spanish. Go now before it becomes too well known. You will not be disappointed.

Staying nearby, my wife and I ventured here for Sunday night dinner. The word âaverageâ was invented for this place. On the plus side, the service was good and friendly. And my wifeâs carrot curry soup was great. On the lesser side, my tomato soup was way too rich. And the paninis each of us ordered were nothing at all special. The place has a funky vibe to it - I perceive that is what it is known for. There are better options out there; then again, there are also worse ones. Thanks for your comment. We're looking forward to welcoming you again soon and make a better impression. Every opinion is helpful and we'll make sure you have the best experience the next time you visit us.

Asiarico 7 a space where you can delight delicious dishes of Korean-Mexican cuisine: Bibimbab, Yakimeshi, Kimchi and bulgogi tacos makis already representative of our menu.
Food was fresh and healthy if not intensely flavorful (Bibimbap and a type of fried rice); chef was intense and into presentation details; prices were a bit high; if unfamiliar with the dish names, there was no description on the menu, but the server was willing to explain in Spanish. For me, the most significant drawback was the size of the space: no tables only 8 bar seats at the counter; we could not see over the counter to watch the chef and assistant a foot away; the waiter had to squeeze to get by to serve us, and others to reach the restroom; we were unwilling observers of the fight between the couple sitting tight beside us; glad we went once but will not return. We also tried the sister restaurant Asiarico around the corner which offers (for us) a more expansive dining environment. Howwer, the menus are not the same, so if you are searching for sushi, this is the place to come.

I just happened by here while traipsing through the Calle (great options and people watching!), and I'm so glad the genuinely friendly Maitre D' Luis enticed me to come in! The buffet special was way more than I could eat, with an amazing salad bar, and multiple servings of choice beef, for an unbelievable price! First rate, and well worth a visit! :)

Not only was the meal excellent, but the service was warm cordial and very helpful. We got detailed information on the food, the suppliers and the preparation. I would definitely recommend this establishment. They even recognized us when we walked by the restaurant a couple of days later and greeted us warmly.

I went here for lunch and can say that in my experience this restaurant is very average. The service was very slow, wifi didn't work and the quinoa salad I ordered was extremely unsatisfying; very small, no imagination, very bland, literally just a small pile of quinoa on a plate with some halved cherry tomatoes, tiny goats cheese balls and some raisins with an acceptable pesto on the side. Would not recommend. Much better food for the same price elsewhere.
