Find out what Fusion restaurants to try in Salem. Named from the anglicized form of the Hebrew word "shalom," meaning peace, Salem provides visitors with exactly that - plus a horde of historic sites to explore and plenty of opportunities for outdoor recreation. Oregon's capital, one of the oldest cities in the state, exudes simple, small-town hospitality with just enough politics and culture to keep things interesting. Tour the grand, gold-domed State Capitol to learn about the workings of the government, then head to the observation deck for a fantastic view of Salem and its surrounding area. Although the whole city is a living history lesson, brimming with old buildings and landmarks, the Mill Mission Museum is a definite standout. Art buffs should not miss the impressive Pacific Northwest collection at the Hallie Ford Art Museum. In between sights, take time to people watch or picnic at Bush's Pasture Park, or enjoy wine tasting at some of the local vineyards. Salem's idyllic setting, in the heart of the emerald Willamette Valley, coupled with its historic role as political hub for Oregon make it the perfect choice for a delightful and interesting weekend away.

This is one of our go to places in our home town for a great meal and beer. We love taking friends and visitors here. I love the Barbacoa Tacos. I order them every time. Others have ordered other items on the menu, and they said they were delicious as well! The beer is also great, made right here! Simply the best Mexican restaurant in Salem, that also happens to make their own beer!

The atmosphere is nice for downtown. Nothing fancy and this is a mid range restaurant with mid range quality. The Sushi was pretty good and the rolls looked appetizing though I did not try one. I did try the Pho soup and was a little disappointed as the broth tasted a little unusual. I was told they have added something akin to anise to the beef broth and it was not to my particular liking. I have had better. The gyozas were good.

Service was a little inconsistent, but it was lunchtime and crowed. Food was very tasty and we will try again sometime for dinner. If you want a more extended offering at lunch, ask for the dinner menu (we didn't even know there was one until after we'd been served lunch and another more familiar customer came in.) Also, the restaurant is small...very small, so be prepared to be crowed if more than 3 people are in your party.
