Carpe Diem is one of the very nicest restaurants we have eaten at in our two months of traveling in Colombia. The restaurant is set in a beautiful colonial house organized around a central courtyard filled with plants. There are several dining sections organized around this central courtyard. The whole house is tastefully decorated with historical artifacts. The local specialities are potato based: either various variations on boiled potatoes (with different types of meats and cheeses or shrimp or vegetables) or various combinations of "rostie" (fried shredded potato). All of this is quite more refined than it sounds. There are also non-potato options if you prefer. The service is fantastic - very very attentive and friendly. The prices are very reasonable: 12,000 to 17,000 per dish. It is frequented by a mix of locals and tourists. I warmly recommend this restaurant.Thank you, You're always welcome here!

I went for lunch and had the menú del dÃa. They served an amazing healthy and freshly prepared three course meal with juice for 9000cop. The atmosphere is tranquil/fancy and the staff was very friendly/helpful. I highly recommend it to anyone visiting town!

Ubicado en la ciudad de Popayán.. ambiente agradable y acogedor .. música un poco alta para poder compartir con las demás personas ..Recomiendo las costillas de cerdo .. las tapas de entrada .. poseen buenos cócteles .. NO RECOMIENDO LA ENSALADA DE SALMÃN ..Irónicamente estando en Colombia y departamento del Cauca no poseen Cafe de sobremesa .. Los precios moderados .

Ubicado en el centro histórico de la âCiudad Blancaâ, la Casa del té es un lugar fresco, agradable y económico; con buen ambiente, variedad de té, y rica comida, lo convierte en un sitio que te hace sentir bien, sea para ir con tus amigos a hablar o incluso, sentarte un rato a trabajar. En esta visita probé una rica arepa de linaza y un sándwich de pollo en salsa bechamel, acompañados de un té de la semana, muy rico todo. Sus té (frÃos o calientes) están entre los $5000-6000 COP (US$1-2) al igual que los sándwiches, y la arepa un poco más barata. El lugar tiene varias salas con sillas y mesas, y hasta un sofá muy cómodo. Recomendado!!
