We had a reservation for two on the patio at 7PM, and arrived 15-20 minutes early, intending to have a cocktail before dinner. The hostess seemed surprised to see us and asked us to wait, then somewhat pointlessly grabbed a reserved sign and went to put it on a table, before leading us to the table. Only a few other guests were there. Iâm a big guy, 189cm, 107kg, size 36â jeans, and the seat of the plastic chairs at our table were just too cramped and uncomfortable for me. Luckily another type of chair was available at some of the other tables, so I asked our waiter if we could switch chairs and was told no, we should count ourselves lucky to even have got a table, according to our waiter (despite our reservation?!). Inexplicably our waiter then proceeded to address me in German - which I speak, but Iâm Danish and prefer English. We got up and left.Dear Peter, We appreciate you have taken your time to share your experience at our restaurant with us, your opinion matters as help us to improve our service in order to give the best experience to our customers. We are really sorry for the misunderstood regarding you request in switching your chair, we can't apologise enough. I visited the básico gastrobar with my husband and 8 month old daughter after trailing round a few places in Alcudia and finding them all too busy. Although basico didnât have any tables out on the street left we were welcomed in to their restaurant and shown through to their lovely little courtyard. A Highchair was immediately provided and our order taken quickly. Bread was produced in good time too, which we were grateful for with a hangry baby! The staff were so helpful and cheerful and there was enough staff to properly serve the customers. House white wine was delicious. We shared the croquettes for a starter which were very nice especially the vegetable ones and then my husband had the chicken and mushroom risotto which was delicious (and a hit with the baby too), I had the chicken burger which was very good. All in all we had a lovely lunch in a restaurant with nice atmosphere and very welcoming staff. Definitely recommend!

Fabulous food, one of the best steaks ever, top quality seafood, everything fresh. Only in Alcudia for 4 nights and spent two of them here. Service fantastic. The owner is totally charming and could not be more helpful. Waiter equally fantastic. I will be a returning customer!

Sat in this bar for the great views and was acknowledged by a female waiter but around 15 minutes later wasn't served and another waiter ignored us sat at a table and went to people who arrived later than us. It wasn't busy either. So left without saying anything and went to Balneario next door a newly opened beach bar. got great, attentive service and home cooked foodSorry for the inconvenient.It was a mistake on our part since there were some people sitting in the place you occupied before and the waitress thought they were already served.Anyway it is not an excuse, I apologize and thank you for helping to improve our service.
