Iâve been to this pub several times over the years. My last experience was disappointing - my husbandâs order of garden salad and buffalo chicken wrap wrong - he received a Caesar salad and honey/garlic (or something like that) chicken wrap. He knew the salad was wrong so left it but did start to eat the wrap but then stopped when he realized it was something garlicky (which makes him ill). The waitress was no where to be seen for a long time â I finally was able to stop her passing through from the patio and so she put in another order - by now my son and I were finished our meals. Not the best experience for Fatherâs Day.We're sorry you did not have a better experience, and we would certainly like the opportunity to try again to make it better. Went here for dinner and highly recommend. Curtis our Server was amazing. Courteous, professional, and highly knowledgeable answered all our questions and made some great suggestions.We had the fried bocconcini to start and a glass of their house wine. Both red and white were nice and not pricey. Mains we had butter chicken Mac and cheese as well as buttermilk fried chicken. Very flavourful and great portions. We were full and even had leftovers for the next night. A real gem and great ambiance!

What a wonderful find. We were connecting from the 407 extension to the 401 through Bowmanville and needed a dinner break . We hesitated to go to a fancy restaurant as we didnât want a long lingering dinner, but the service was excellent and efficient so not a problem. And the food! Superb! Spicy shared crab cakes, wonderful tender lamb shank, snap peas were great! And the roasted beets ...perfect. The steak special my partner had was said to be as good as anywhere in the big city.Just a block off King street so not out of the way if you are passing through and definitely worth finding.Go!
