Janet and Helen the owners/hosts/cooks are lovely and will put together a selection of dishes to suit you. We visited as a large group (4 tables) and all the dishes were consistently good. A special treat in the Portugese Settlement precincy at Christmas-time are the Christmas lights and carolers on the weekend.

I've been to this eatery 18 years ago and at that time really an unforgettable memories. After such a long hiatus, I've visited this place and truly has changed a lot. I don't see those waves hit the shores, not much customers, menu has changed and etc. The dishes we ordered were more like a typical Malay foods and insatiable. The waiters seems reminding us the last call would be at 11.45pm from the moment we arrive till we depart. They are concerned more on when customer will depart rather than handling customer service. It's a nice place which is set in a quiet tranquil, sea view, beer garden but totally mismanage. Absolutely, the owner did not take the initiative to promote, market the place and generate revenue. It's a fantastic place to draw the crowd and could be listed one of Malacca's visited place for dining but to no avail. Hope to see some changes on my next visit
Homemade Food Cozy, hippie feeling Friendly crew Music and art Games Feels like home Peace and one love
Three reasons to go there:1) best quality - tried the juice and drink and were delicious, made with high quality products2) cheap - much cheaper than everywhere else. 7 MYR for tiger can, 14 for cocktails3) best owner ever - very open and friendly, we played games together and had nice conversationsOverall top place to go for a drink in Maleka! We went there four days in a row

Made our reservations for lunch on Friday 9th August 2019 and Mr. Kong accepted our reservations without any hesitation. We did not know the closing time and the staffs were kind enough to wait for us to finish. The food was superbly awesome and reasonably priced. Definitely will returned again for lunch and dinner.

We came here based on TripAdvisor reviews expecting tasty authentic Indian food. It also happened to be Valentines day so were hoping to have a good dining experience. But..We arrived the place was empty which was a slight concern. We therefore ordered the Paneer to start and some bottled water. We thought based on this we would order further plates. The food arrived within seconds, the smallest plate you have ever seen with a glass of water. We had said we wanted to share the starter but it came with one plate. The glass of water was sold to us as being free, they actually didn't have bottled water. The Paneer was tasteless and oily, despite claims of being healthy Ayurvedic cuisine. The staff were too busy on the phone to even care that we ordered the bill within seconds and left most the food! As for being better than food in India or like food in India. We have just been to India and this has not been our experience. We paid and left to go to another restaurant.

The name of Kaya-kaya Cafe comes from a local spread known as âkayaâ. It is generally rich in flavor and thick in texture. As such, our menu is created using the two keywords â richness and thickness. Our key vision is to promote more local specialties to
The Kaya toast was good, but not much butter for the price. I ordered a scrambled egg, it was very small and a little undercooked. I asked for a local drink, but the guy working there couldn't really be bothered, I still don't know if I got a local drink. Seemed like a watery bubble tea to me, maybe they were invented here. I'm obviously a visitor, it would have been nice to have gotten some recommendations. Something on the guy's phone was more important I guess. For all the 'amazing' reviews and the western price I really expected better.

Our visit was okay. Food and coffee were good. Nice interior too. One thing that should be done better is making sure that as a couple we get our coffees together. A 10-15 minute difference in serving meant I had finished mine before my partner's arrived. It wasn't even that it was busy. And then another 10-15 for the food. A bit out of sync. Might be best to specify this when placing order rather than assuming.

Experience dining at a Retro-styled cafe backing the Melaka river in the Heritage Zone. One could choose to dine by the river and watch the cruise boats pass by; or at the indoor fan or air conditioned area. We serve cafe food : 'All Day Breakfast Sets',
We enjoyed sitting by the Melaka river in the evening in the eclectic surrounds of the River View Cafe.To the delight of our children they serve a range of Western food, although I found there local dish selection quite limited.Prices were very reasonable and the food was very nice.

A small cafe located off Jonker Street, serving espresso coffee, smoothie bowl, breakfast and lunch.
Came here when I first arrived in Melaka after a short flight for a quick bite to eat. The menu is full of variety for a mid afternoon dinner / lunch. The spicy chicken sandwich was incredible, not too hot but had a great kick. The staff are very friendly and welcoming also. Hi, thanks for leaving us such a wonderful review. It's only when we receive such positive feedback, do we rest knowing that we have done our jobs well. You made our day! Please do come again
