Things to do in Mandalay
I live just over a block away from Giza Bar and Restaurant and so watched with interest as the place was slowly built and fitted out. Iâve now been several times and tried several items on the menu including mutton kebabs, salmon steak, Spanish seafood fried rice and curried giant freshwater prawn. A surprise for me as a Britâ was honey roasted corned beef. Nothing like the tinned corned beef I was expecting. This was real meat and it was great. Not cheap, but thus far Iâve never been disappointed.
Aroma 1 is back ! This is the original Aroma 1 from Nyaung Shwe (Inle lake)- 2001 Now re-open at Mandalay ...
Good food. Cannot categorize as excellent. The food is average and have little burmese touch in the food. All the tables are empty as it is new in town. So dont expect people, limit ur expectations upto food only (drinks unavailable). Good to give a try. If you are looking for authentic indian taste , there are other options available.
At sugar and butter, we serve freshly brewed coffee, daily baked cakes and food from brunch, lunch to dinner. Come down to enjoy a different experience.
Not only is this place the cutest building I've seen in Mandalay, the barista makes an amazing flat white. I'm picky about my coffee and I had to stop myself from ordering a 3rd because it was so good. Their dessert is good, although a bit pricey. Food is pretty good; it's a small menu but that usually means consistently done well.
