Dined at Frescos in downtown Lakeland on the recommendation from our hotel desk clerk. Our waitress recommended the fish and chips. She said that they were the best tat she had ever had. We were not disappointed. The generous portion of haddock was fried to perfection; not at all greasy and delicious.

Stir-fry restaurant where you can create-your-own bowl from a selection of over 80 fresh ingredients.
I visited BD's in Lakeland with a group of friends. It is a fun experience. You go through a buffet line with meats and vegetables and you put your choices in your bowl. After that you proceed to the portion of the buffet with sauces and spices that you put in those in a cup. After you have made your selections you proceed to the grill. Your stir fry is cooked on a round flat-top grill. After the meats cook for awhile then the cook adds your spices. The selection of meats included beef, chicken, pork, white fish, and shrimp. The vegetables included cilantro, carrots, water chestnuts, Asian slaw, pea pods, baby corn, and other choices. The sauces and spices ranged from mild to spicy. There is a good selection and it is fun to try different recipes. The staff were friendly. Our server, Amy, was very good and kept up with us very well. The grill cooks were friendly and did a good job. The service was good. The restaurant was clean and well-maintained including the restrooms. I recommend BD's Mongolian Grill in Lakeland.

Have been looking for a good dim sum restaurant in the Lakeland/Winter Haven area for some time, and tried this for dinner. The shrimp dim sum looked and tasted EXACTLY like that which comes in the frozen food section of the supermarket. In fact, some of mine were still cold in the middle, so I am pretty sure they just heated up some supermarket food and plated it. My family had other things to eat, and each stated the food was "OK, but nothing special." I cannot see us going back.
