Start off the evening with a gin cocktail in the comfy lounge immediately next door (though they are rather too keen to explain every aspect of every cocktail in some detail) and then head through for a relaxed, friendly dining experience. Staff were knowledgeable, efficient and friendly. The deal is you pay a minimum cover charge per head, which gives each of you three tapas dishes and then if you need more you pay for each additional plate. Food was generally excellent - the ostrich and lamb were highlights - though the fish dishes weren't quite as good as the others. Some innovative combinations of flavours and textures and a nice twist of South African ingredients with Spanish style. Good wine selection and a really nice atmosphere.

We had fallen in love with Momo Baohaus in Greenside so had to try this one. If anything, it's better with the option of Soko (mini skewers) that are FANTASTIC! The Matterhorn lamb and mint skewers are a winner as are the Krakatoa and Fitzroy (chicken and prawn respectively). The bao reign supreme in my book. The Kung Pow Bao is amazing. Trust me, your taste buds will thank you for visiting this amazing restaurant. Remember to bring your own drinks as it saves you a packet.Very highly recommended!

You would be forgiven for thinking that you had stepped in to The Balthazar restaurant in New York when first entering the Maximillien restaurant. From the dark wood panelling and mirrors, the red upholstery, to the black and white checked floors and the
We had the pleasure of âValentines dinnerâ on Saturday evening. After a pre-dinner drink in the Maxim Lounge, we were greeted and welcomed by the restaurant management and staff. The tables were beautifully decorated and we enjoyed a three-course set menu and a bottle of house wine. Management and staff were very attentive and I had the opportunity to thank and compliment the Chef in person. The desert was very interactive and was plated and decorated at the table buy two pastry chefs. A great evening with great food and service. We enjoyed the entertainer who serenaded the ladies at the tables. We also had the pleasure of breakfast in the restaurant the next morning â another fantastic experience !Dear Boschie, Thank you very much for taking the time to share your Valentines dining experience with us on TripAdvisor.
