Right in the middle of the city and not too far from the National Palace ( or where it used to be) the food is excellent but on the expensive side.. The parking is secure and they have a small shop that offers crafts by the bar

Spacious, not too busy for a Sunday lunch. Surprisingly extensive menu, several vegetarian choices and inventive dishes. Service is prompt for Haitian standards. Must invest in a tea box for clients who do not drink coffee otherwise it was just fine. The restaurant is actually part of a boutique hotel, clean and well organized, the well curated souvenir shop on the ground floor is a bonus as is the perfect location.

Myabel Cocktail Bar & Restaurant

Myabel is located in croix-des-bouquets, nearby the popular metal work artisan village (village noailles). It is, by far, one of the best restaurants in Haiti. Myabel transforms traditional Haitian food into creative, new dishes with complex favors and thoughtful details. For example, they make an amazing mango pikliz with just the right balance of salty, spicy, and sweet. They also make some really tasty sauces, including one which combines tomatoes, pineapple, Haitian moonshine (Kleren), and rapadou to make a tasty barbecue sauce for their dishes. I can't say enough about how good their food is! Just for the food alone, it's worth the trip to Croix-des-bouquets. It is definitely a hidden gem. But, a meal at Myabel wouldn't be complete for me without at least one of their craft cocktails. My favorite is their signature Myabel cocktail, which is made with Haitian rum and passion fruit. the food is high-quality, creative, local, and fun! I highly recommend it. And, the best part is that you can take a lot of their menu items home with you (like their pikliz, sauces, and craft cocktails!). Definitely give it a try the next time you stop thru croix-des-bouquets! It is right off the main road, but can be tricky to find if you haven't been to C-d-B before, so I recommend calling to get directions one you arrive in the area.

Visited this place for our wedding anniversary in december 2014. Though I must say the food was not bad, it's way over priced for the service and quantities you get.The first bottle of wine we chose was not available. I ordered two appetizers, one as an appetizer and I specifically ordered one as the main meal, repeated myself three times to avoid confusion. Well they both came as appetizers. The rest of the dishes took about 1 hour before they arrived. And the restaurant was empty, only one other table of about 8 people (it was all the way on the other side of the restaurant). We chose a table at the entrance, in a cozy corner, the decor was nice but then I noticed the "hostesses" table and smack in our face was this ugly counter with cleaning spray and the ladies purse. Not a nice view. Nobody visited the table though we complained about service. The waiter was very polite but not trained and the kitchen!! slow as anything. Will not go back especially that 6 months later I've only heard bad reviews. Management needs to wake up.
