We stayed less than a block away from this restaurant and never knew it existed until a local friend suggested we give it a try. We were out sight seeing all day so we had not made reservations, which are HIGHLY recommended, and arrived on a rainy Tuesday evening around 8pm. Luckily there were a few seats left at the bar when we arrived as any later and the line was out the door. Food was original, fresh and outstanding!! The bartender was a true "mixologist" and made us several different drinks while chatting with us about the city and country. The price for appetizers, main course, dessert (which was to die for!!) and all our drinks was well under priced for the excellent quality of food and service. So if you are in Barcelona, make sure find this little restaurant on its tiny alley size street in the Raval district and enjoy every second of this experience.

There are loads of beach bars in Barceloneta and most are over-priced tourist traps, something that cannot be said about this place. You expect to pay a premium, and the tapas are a touch on the pricey side, but the service is great and it is lovely to sit by the beach and enjoy a sundowner. Con Grà cia is by far the most amazing dining experience I will ever have in my lifetime. In my limited experience of 20 years I have to say that the atmosphere alone is incredible. The owner Josè, is the kindest and easily the most passionate man I have ever had the pleasure to meet. While I will say that upon first glance at the menu I was a bit worried. But Josè soon convinced me that he could adapt to any of my dislikes and worries. The food is indescribable. It reaches every sense and elevates what I thought was possible in a meal. The risotto was so exquisite that I even started to cry tears of joy. Our server Sabrina and owner radiate positivity and love and truly believe in what they are creating and presenting. Each meal is described to you in full. This is a place I look forward to returning to and I wish them nothing more than the best in operating this wonderful restaurant. I am left with just two words. Absolutely stunning.We love to take care of our costumers to provide a whole nice experience at Con Gracia restaurant. Nice to read that you enjoyed everything. This is a very polished operation, combining traditional tapas-style dishes with culinary invention and flair. Youâll find ultra fresh, flavoursome citrusy fish dishes, like scallop ceviche or tuna tartare, alongside slow cooked pork cheeks or beef, both meltingly unctuous. They recommend three dishes each, which provides you with a wonderful variety of combinations and textures. Foams and sorbets pop up enticingly where you least expect them, helping to ensure there is a light, almost playful touch. Good choice of matching wines too, so we never strayed towards the cocktails. A fruity red went down very well, as did two glasses of honeyed Moscatel. Due to good ratings at TA we have visited this restaurant. Thanks God I have done a reservation because upon arrival it was already fully booked.Fast we received the menu. No specials of the day are offered.So we ordered prawns and veggie roll with sweet chilli sauce, Tuna tartar, and suckling pig. Wow!!!! We arrived, not being sure what to expect. The greeting was warm and genuine which set the tone for a fantastic evening,Everything we ate was sublime, a delicate balance of flavours, excellent produce and inventive culinary skill.One of the best meals of my life.Stand out dishes were, cheese pebbles, tomatoes with aubergine, almond gazpacho with melon and peach, pork cheeks with peach and beetroot mouse.All stunning as were the staff.

Food was absolutely fenomenal! However, it is a shame when a restaurant serves such an exquisite food and has an arrogant and unprofessional waiter like Fabian. Talking absolute nonsense to people while others wait half an hour to get their order placed. My wife and I had to refill our wine twice due to lack of attention through service (waiter left if behind our back in a bucket).We went for my wifeâs birthday and I have emailed the restaurant directly to ask for a candle in her dessert as a surprise. All was ignored, moreover there was a couple sitting behind us who actually got their surprise cake with a candle. I guess they were not from UK, as Fabian really dislikes London (he told us himself).It is probably best not to mention were are you from to Fabian, maybe the service will be better then.I most certainly would not recommend going here for a special night.â¬120 was definitely not worth the service we got.Dear Andrius, Thank you for your review and feedback which affect me and I would answer and disagree few points with you to avoid confusions to anyone. Once again, opinions are personal, this is my personal one. Of course, you are correct, I personally saw you serving yourself the white wine on 1 occasion (I did not see the second one...) and I apologize for it same I also did it to you at the moment you were serving the wine to your wife. This should not happened, but unfortunately it happened. Sorry once again. I think and I believe, as we forgot to place a candle to your wife's dessert, you lost the "objectivity" and you looked at me, the restaurant and all around you with a different view being negative and kind of destructive. And, here once again, this was a mistake and we forgot (using the word "ignore" is another destructive definition) the candle on the dessert. This might be also the cause of your booking, as I remember, you changed your booking on 3 occasions the date of your dinner and I replied 3 times to you....It looks you are kind of a "changing" personality...On the other hand, It is not true you waited 30 minutes for me taking your order, there were other tables before you and I went one by one. I also recommend you a special wine and you enjoyed it very much. Finally, it is "funny" when saying I do not like London, I lived there more than 5 years, worked for many British companies, in the past even worked for a well known British airline and did it for more than 10 years, had a British ex business partner and naturally I absolutely love the "marmite" (remember you love it or hate it, this might probably be your personal feeling towards me...). I do not like the weather, yes, as the majority of British citizens (this is the reason millions of them visit us every year and thousands of them lives in Spain), this is what I said, do not mix my comments. I finished saying to you "I have a better quality of life in Barcelona". I would like to inform you were from Ukraine not the UK, one more reason who make your point of view of countries origin a little confusing. As I said, apologies for not having being able to make your dinner as you were expecting, some mistakes can happen. "errare humanum est". After arriving to Barcelona we entered Somewhere to have some lunch. The place was fully booked but an extremely friendly waitress arranged a table for us. Restaurant is nicely decorated, relaxed and cozy. We ordered a veggie burger and pork burrito. Food was tasty and innovative and although it was a busy day we did not have to wait too long. Price for two dishes and two beers + water was about 24 euros, not bad. Special mentions for a most friendly and efficient service. Great place!
