SELFISH IS A COSY RESTAURANT MAINLY SERVING FRESH FISH AND SEAFOOD, OUR SUSHI DISHES ARE BASED ON MAURITIAN FLAVOURS SUCH AS GUAVA AND TAMARIND AND ARE A NICE TASTY TWIST ON TRADITIONAL SUSHI. WE ALSO SERVE DELICIOUS BURGHERS WITH HOMEMADE FRIES AND A BEE
Despite being located outside Grand Baie, the main road can be noisy, so venture round the back to the secret garden. Thereâs a nice atmosphere here and very friendly and polite staff. Tonight we just wanted something fairly plain after a big curry yesterday, so opted for a pizza and tuna salad. Both were decent enough and we had room for creme brûlée which again was nice without being earth shattering. We were given a lovely free secret drink however which was great. Overall, itâs just a nice place to hang out, itâs cheap but good enough to spend a relaxing evening

at first it may seem to be just another restaurant in the holiday island of Mauritius. when you enter there is a friendly owner and waiter at your side. the atmosphere is great and the smell form the kitchen gets your appetite going. there are a lot of restaurants claiming to serve the freshest, best quality, best prepared, best value, but no one can get close to Alchemy. we have tried a few of the restaurants on the island, but this one is a cut above the rest. food is well prepared, portions are generous and quality and value can not be beaten. good location, close to the center of Grand Bay. we have had some of the best steaks and by far the best crayfish ever. be sure to book for and unforgettable evening!

Itâs an amazing place. The decor is appealing. Water all around, serene, and beautiful. I visited the domaine to celebrate my mother in lawâs birthday. Chef Yu made the day memorable with her distinctive and heavenly delish. The taste of the dishes from starter to dessert were all new to my taste-bud. She is an amazing chef. The food is very refined. Will definitely visit the place again. Chère Vandita,Nous sommes heureux que votre dîner vous ait plu, Vandita ! Merci de votre visite et de votre avis. Au plaisir de vous revoir dans notre restaurant

My husband and I had dinner here on a quiet weekday evening. The sushi was great and we liked the general ambience of the bar/restaurant. Unfortunately, it rained quite heavily and our cabana leaked. Also both our main courses, seared tuna, were rather cold when they arrived and as there had been a reasonable wait for the food we chose not to complain. We did feel a little sorry for the waiter who was trying to run around and serve all the tables. Overall I think it is a fun concept and can imagine that it is a fab place for sushi on a warm, dry night out.

Had dinner here a couple of times. The restaurant is on the other side of the road to Pereybere public beach. The food is very tasty and fresh. The have several ready menu options that you can choose from or if you donât want to eat a pre-set menu they also have a large variety of starters, snacks, salads, main courses and desserts. The mauritanian foods are really nice so try them out if you want to taste something a bit different. They also have the âsafeâ options chips, beef and chicken if you donât want to taste any new flavours. I myself loved the seafood, chunky, juicy prawns with a lot of flavour. The prices are medium range, you might find something cheaper, but if you do you might not get as good food as from here. Will definitely come back.Au top, grand merci à vous.CordialementLe Bénitier
