Great new experience having dinner at Cafe Alona in Bristol, Tennessee. It was a an excellent meal. Tonight was "American Fusion" night, featuring chicken soup, crab cakes, roast beef with fried onion topping and cake and ice cream for dessert. Great service! International cuisine is the specialty at Alona's. I plan on sampling frequently, now that I have discovered it.Welcome to our foodie fun house. The service here was excellent. The waitresses were very kind and prompt. The food however wasn't as consistently awesome. Some was good and some was just meh. We had the edamame appetizer and it was delicious - I would recommend it to anyone! We both had the clear soup, which my husband enjoyed but I didn't (too salty for me). He had Hibachi salmon and scallops and it was delicious. However, my teriyaki chicken was very bland and dry. Perhaps the key is to get seafood/sushi since that is what is most recommended on the other reviews.

Great food, great service. Our chef was a bit to be desired. He never asked how we wanted our steaks cooked. He really never spoke during the time he was preparing our food.
