Ambergris Caye hovers in a vacation sweet spot: just enough amenities to make it exciting, but not so overdeveloped that you’re tripping over flip-flopped tourists. A mangrove swamp is the eye of this white beach island, the largest in Belize, and golf carts are the main form of transportation along the sandy roads. Reef divers drool over the Belize Barrier Reef and the Blue Hole, a 400-feet deep circle of limestone that teems with angelfish, elkhorn coral, cleaner shrimp and stalactites.

A romantic get away from town.,Serving Thai/ French fusion cuisine
I have eaten several times at Rendezvous and have really enjoyed their freshly prepared food. I recommend the stuffed grouper as a main course, cooked to perfection, I split a starter with a friend and we had Seafood ceviche and also the shrimp ali bang bang - which was so well presented it was a feast for the eyes before you tasted it, we also had on recommendation of the staff the coconut mojito which I had never had before - very very nice!! Although it is up island, and could be a little difficult to get to without a golf cart (the main transport on the island) I went the second time by water taxi which is close to the centre of town by the San Pedro express for Bzd 7 each way, the last boat runs back to the main town up until 11 pm from jetty directly outside the bar, With friendly staff, good food and a beach front bar away from the central San Pedro it was well worth the effort for a visit.Thank you so much for your review Roger. We enjoyed having you with us and hope to see you again soon. Your next meal with us, you will have to try the coconut pie. It is totally made on site (we pick and grind our own coconut) and scrumptious.

Enjoy the highest and only rooftop restaurant on the island providing the best vantage point of amazing panoramic views of San Pedro, the sea and the sunset. Select from a wide variety of wines and our versatile menu featuring an array of imported meats,
Horrible service our waiter forgot to put in our orders by the time he remembered supposedly the chefs have already left only after he just asked what would like for dessert because the kitchen was closing. Horrible service and horrible staff .

Romantic and stylish restaurant and bar overlooking the Caribbean Sea, offering lovingly prepared contemporary dishes with an emphasis on local seafood and organically grown vegetables, fruits and herbs from our own gardens, exceptional personal service,
We stayed at Matachica so ate every breakfast and several lunches and dinners there during our week there. The breakfasts are delicious: you want to opt for the home made tortilla instead of toast on meals with that option; get a fruit plate too, you won't be disappointed. They made their eggs every way, their waffles were very tasty too. The only thing I did not love was the coffee, but that may be more a function of what I am used to having than anything else. For lunch the salads were excellent (my husband raved about the jerk chicken caesar salad), as was the blackened grouper sandwich, the fish and chips and the snapper or skewers. For appetizers we had the mambo carpaccio (divine!), vegetarian spring roll (very tasty!), and calamari (delicious!). For dinner, we tried the crab-stuffed grouper, the Slow Roasted Lime Grouper (my favorite), the whole snapper (simple but excellent). And the desserts were great - I preferred the caramel flan and key lime pie, but the chocolate souffle (really a mini molten lava cake) was also very good. The only reason I don't give it five stars is that it was considerably more expensive than most other restaurants in the area, and that if you stay a week you wish there was more on the menu (any lobster dish is only served during lobster season).

We stumbled upon Nook on Sunday while trying to find a place to eat breakfast. The place we had opted to visit was closed, so we just started walking. I recognized the name when I saw it as several people here had recommended it. Though it doesnât look like much (I think there are only about 10 tables in the open air restaurant), the food was outstanding. I had the huevos rancheros, and my girlfriend had Kristineâs Local Lunch of Love. Both were outstanding. The pork in my girlfriendâs entree was out of this world. I ordered a Bloody Mary. On the menu, it said to ask for horseradish, which I did. The waiter left the table but came back to say they were out of horseradish. He offered to run to the local store to buy some. I declined, but thatâs some kind of service!

This was our second visit to Casa Picasso and we had a nice meal. We decided to order many small dishes to try several items. Although the wine selection was a bit limited, the food was well prepared and tasty. The highlight was the mushroom appetizer and the pork belly. Overall a good meal and convenient from our hotel.Thank you for your review. it was a pleasure having you again. We hope that you return back to Belize and we can serve you again.

Iguana Juan's features thoughtful burgers and killer vegetarian, along with a fusion of American and Central American flavors, awesome drinks (Bar in a Jar, anyone?) and live entertainment. Laugh it up at a stand up comedy show, or find your groove at our
Perfect combination of friendly local feel and well-run American restaurant.... The drinks are fantastic (Frozen Coconut Mojito), the food is solid (you get the sense they're spending extra on ingredients, no corners cut), and there are a couple nights a week with live entertainment. It's also a refreshing spot if you're tired of the extremely touristy beach bars. Highly recommend, we went three times in four days.
