To be honest, we never would have found this cute little restaurant if it weren't for Tripadvisor. The restaurant has a really authentic feel to it which is reflected in the dishes served: honest Corsican cuisine. We ate at a cute little table on the pergola which gives the restaurant its name. The waiter was very friendly and keen on explaining the dishes to us.We couldn't resist the three course menu for only 20 euro's. For half a liter of wine we only paid 7 euro's. As a starter I chose the tarte tomate chèvre. Very tasty. The rôti the veau was also good. The lovely crème brûlée was the perfect dessert to close off the meal.I do have to say that the restaurant only serves red wine. The waiter explained that it was hard keeping the quality of white wine once the bottle was opened. I didn't fully understand his explanation, but the red wine was ok. A good hous

From Porto Vecchio it's about 35minutes drive up into the mountains with some beautiful scenery along the way. When we arrived we were greeted by the friendly staff and they explained the menu to us. I opted for the entrocote and my wife the aubergine dish. Both were were tasty, the steak was phenomenal! Would definitely recommend this restaurant

Everything has been said about this place already and it's mainly true. Hospitality here is an obsession. We stayed in a cabana that was charming. The food is great. We stayed three nights and I'd say that was about right. Just about enough time to strike down to Bonifacio on a day trip, take the hiking trail from Col de Bavella to Trou de la Bombe another day, and also fit in a visit to the Cucuruzzo Archeological Site. And you do need to keep active, the food is what my Mum called 'nourishing'.So why else three nights? Well the first night you might get the incredible slow cooked lamb, but if you don't stay on you would wonder what have you missed the next night Could be stuffed aubergine. But don't be fooled that it would be suitable for vegetarians. And then if you stay only two nights you would miss the braised rib of pork. Locally sourced ingredients? The current cliche; not here, they surely are. Everything is simply presented but tiptop. The wines are pretty good and I would imagine carefully sourced. Not cheap, but you wouldn't want poor wine with this food, and better Corsican wines do seem to be pricey everywhere. In an age when a Michelin star goes for a mess of colours on a wobbly plate the food here is for people who like to eat for wellbeing. Already a destination restaurant it could become iconic. Visit while you can still get in. Even now you need to book well ahead.

Lovely little restaurant serving local rustic food. Serving size was generous, local meats and cheeses, sausages. A very nice place to stop after a hill climb, whether by bike or car, this is a charming little destination in the cool of the mountains. We enjoyed a hearty jambon salad, a little rose. Service was slow, but who cares. This is slow food, giving us plenty of time to just sit and watch. Service was friendly.thank you so much ! see you soon

This is a great little auberge. On a summer's evening it was wonderful to sit outside on the shaded terrace with peace & quiet. The menu is small but concentrates on traditional Corsican fare. From the set price menu of â¬24 we chose a starter of a plate of Corsican Charcuterie which was piled high with delicious cold meats. The veal stew with olives was served with pasta and was tender & tasty. We finished with ice cream & heartily recommend the chestnut & clementine flavours. It was so nice we went for a second evening and sampled the entrée of a home made pork terrine followed by the wild boar stew. Sanglier is a delicious type of pork & so tender it falls apart.Service was attentive and friendly & the ambience of the setting magical.2 evenings to remember.

We recently had dinner at this restaurant having checked Tripadvisor. We were well received by a young lady who was very pleasant and helpful. The big downside was we were told that 4 of the main dishes of what is a quite small selection were unavailable and no fish was on offer at all. The portions were on the small side and the salad garnishes had no dressing on them.

What a fantastic location under the spread of a large mulberry tree or inside in a rustic buildingThe smell of woodfire wafting through the courtyard overlooking a beautiful garden and old stone cottages is the perfect setting after a drive through the mountains of Corsica Now the food - what can I say but fantastic, I had the charcuterie plate and that was from the owners farm and was good, but the best was the slab of venison grilled on the wood flame BBQ, that was perfection on a plate with hand cut chips (frittes) and a slice of zucchini lasagne - my god the best venison I have ever eaten so good, worth a trip to Corsica just to eat, dessert winner was the nougat glacé, they added hazelnuts in and man that was good too, Wife had local terrine which was awesome and the pasta with slow cooked pork from the farm was great too, then local ricotta lemon tart , kids shared oursDrinks - three local beers , Piertra of course and two others all Corsican and fantastic too, one made from Muscat grape was 8% alcohol but was so drinkablenot like the heavy Belgium 8% beers, will track that down for later when not tackling Corsican roadsThe house red was amazing tooAll this for family of four and was only 80 Euro - Tre Bon, a real credit to the owner and his produce and should've on everyone's itinerary in Corsica
