What a wonderful place ..! It is worth of their Michelin rating and for me, it is now top of the list. The chefs are simply ARTISTS. They are certainly more than accomplished chefs. The service was superb. The food was to die for. It is not just food. It is poetry in motion. Very grateful to our friends for taking us to this culinary paradise.

We had dinner with 10 adults on Saturday 28 March. Because of the size of our group we were offered the three-course dinner (â¬35 per person) Everyone was happy with the meals. Value for money was ok. Staff were very pleasant and explained meals and ingredients well (both in English and Dutch). All in all very pleasant evening.

Brasserie & Loungebar DenK is situated on Landgoed Duin & Kruidberg, a country estate in Santpoort-Noord. We are open for breakfast, lunch, high tea, dinner, lounging and enjoying life. 7 days a week, 365 days a year. When the weatherâs good, DenK in de T
We were at DenK in the garden with a large group of nine people celebrating the birthday of two of our company. It was nice weather so we sat outside. Both outside and inside DenK looks very nice. We had very different dishes as you can imagine and I heard only compliments (and all our platea were completely empty when we were finished). I had the DenK burger, very nice. Do mention if you dont't like cheese to have them make you a burger without cheese (the cheese is not mentioned on the menu). The deserts were also very nice indeed. I had a dilicious desert of meringue. The quality was very good. The Michelin starred restaurant, where we normally are, is of a different class altogether. I really liked DenK too so we will be back.

This is a homey, quite small restaurant so do not forget to make reservations, it really is worth a visit. The ambiance is wonderful and warm and the staff is great, so kind and friendly. It is worth having dinner there, The presentation and the quality of the food is superb and so tasty as is the choice of ingredients by the chef, one can taste that the cooking is done with the heart, with a lot of passion. This is a restaurant run by a family so father is the chef and his sons are working with great pleasure with him and this all reflects in the overall quality of this cozy restaurant.Absolutely fabulous.

I had a delicious salmon and asparagus. The sauce was amazing! Great service and beautiful decor. Excellent meal.
PUUR ZEE Bar Bistro & Terrace is a fantastic place to enjoy the good things in life. Spoil yourself with the great "bites" from the cuisine of Masterchef Imko Binnerts like Gillardeau Oysters, Foie Gras, Iberico cold cuts platter and Homesmoked Salmon. If
The patron-cuisinier Imko Binnerts is well-known in the Netherlands for his mastery of cooking fish, so high expectations were set.The interior of the brasserie-part of the restaurant was unusually poorly illuminated but from what I could see, quite stylish in a classical way. The Gillardeau oysters were quite fresh. The plate with fried bites was rather ordinary with huge chunks of supermarket-quality cheese and over-fried 'bitterballen'. The main dish of cod was just OK without leaving much of an impression.Service of the waitress was at times clumsy (spilling water on the table) and unmannered (without cleaning, without any excuse). The bill for two persons including a decent Chablis and coffee came to 120 EUR.Notwithstanding the reputation of the chef, this evening had too many flaws.

This is a hidden gem! The restaurant is housed in the fascinating and spectacular 100 year old country estate hotel Duin en Kruidberg and is located in Santpoort, about 6 kilometers north of Haarlem. So you do have to travel to get there, but it is worth it. As mentioned on its website, De Vrienden van Jacob have had 1 Michelin star since 2006, and this star is more than deserved. The head chef, Alain Alders, visits each and every guest at the start of their dinner to personalize their experience. We elected a 5 course surprise menu with wine selections. It was absolutely superb, refined, delicious....The wine selections were great and for North Americans different from what they get served in the USA or Canada. Also, the price-tag for a 5 course dinner was favorable (around 90 Euros), certainly compared to what people pay in North America. In short, a restaurant that definitely is worthwhile visiting and you can decide to sleep at the hotel to get that little extra heavenly experience. By the way, reservations are required, but if you are unable to make a reservation online, it is worth calling the restaurant directly. We got a last minute reservation onsite!Dear C-Z-1982,We are happy to read that your stay has been satisfactory. We would also like to thank you for the time you have taken to leave a comment. We are look forward to welcome you again at restaurant De Vrienden van Jacob or for a overnight stay at the Country Estate! With best regards,Amber Timmers - Marketing Coordinator

The food is excellent because Dries is a very good cook. The owners are so nice and the place is easy going with lots of possibilities for kids as well as a mini golf course, very well maintained. It lies at the foot of the Paasduin and always has a perfect terrace when the sun is shining.

This is definitely the place to be if you like fine dining, fish and a homey atmosphere. We had the 7 course menu combined with a nice bottle of Patrick Piuze Chablis. You sensed that each course was made with a lot of love and passion. We will come back for sure!
