La Grande Ferme is a small, familial restaurant located in the North of Brussels. The menu proposes a good choice a Belgian courses, steaks, some fishes, mussels and some pasta. The meat is excellent and very tasty, served with Belgian fries. The price is online with the quality. The waitress is efficient. You don't wait too much there.

Let's start with the positives: the restaurant looks very nice. It is a pleasant environment to have diner. The food: we were disappointed. We paid 300 euro for 4 person and had average bistro food. We had 4 starters, 4 mains, no deserts and a bottle of wine.Starters (shrimp croquettes and tempura) were below expectations, very average. Sea bass was tiny and tasteless. Steak was of good quality we have to admit but the sauce that came with it was tasteless as well. The service is done by 1 lady , we think she was the lady of the house and some students or very young girls. They all try to be very casual but this results in being almost rude and impolite. It was a rather strange experience. Anyway, if you want to eat a plain steak in a nicely decorated restaurant you will be absolutely fine. The quality of the steak was good. Don't bother trying anything else. And don't ask for a glass of 'Veuve Cliquot' , which is their 'superior' champaign by the way that they promote by putting a huge orange bucket on the bar. We asked for a glass of 'Veuve Cliquot' and after repeating it 3 times our young waitress told us 'I really have never heard of this drink'. She is forgiven, it was maybe her first evening in the restaurant, but these things constantly happened so in the end it even made us laugh. Where had we ended up. At the end of the evening the lady of the house was drinking cocktails at the bar with one of the male customers instead of taking care of the customers still present in the restaurant.Dear, very sorry to read your review. We always have good comments about our food and especially our service (please read our other reviews) but of course there are always other people in this world who are very critical. So surprising that you didn't like our shrimp croquettes, especially when the most of our habit clients come back to eat those. I want to excuse my student... she told me about your table and didn't understand that you were asking for a glass of Veuve Cliquot, but what I don't understand is why you didn't tell the girls or the lady of the house that you didn't like our food and service?? Especially when the crew comes at your table for asking if everything was ok and your answer was that all was ok! Very disappointing that you prefer to give critics here online instead of being honest to us so we could make it up to you. But we saw some other reviews of you at other restaurants and they where almost all very negative. So we have our doubts about your knowledge of good taste. We guess that this way to break us was the most easiest way. At the end... the lady of the house was drinking a glass at the bar at 23 o'clock when there where very less customers at the restaurant and the girls were still at work. The male customer with her at the bar was our chef of the kitchen and they were making an evaluation of the service like we do every working evening. Btw her husband was not pleased by reading your review that his wife is drinking with other man. I just want to make u understand that with your reviews you also damage private situations, so please think twice when you are sending your reviews. Just one good advise for the future... Please give your critics directly to the crew so they can try to please you and changing your plates so you can go out from the restaurant with a good feeling. We hope to see you again so we can prove you the opposite of your review. Kindest regards

This place opened 6 months ago after Antonio Morreale closed his Italian restaurant here. We went for a lunch on the small simple inner yard that seats just 12, and all tables were taken including some inside. With a little amuse, an excellent starter of bouchot mussels in a creamy sauce, followed by a firm piece of pollack with linguine and mashed potatoes. When ordering a coffee we received a little mousse and a small cake. All was tasty and prepared with care. And all that for just 25â¬! Great find. PS-not sure there was much anarchy on our plates, though, or it must have been the serving of mashed potatoes ánd pasta with the fish...

This was our first visit to this restaurant and there will be many more to come .Although we were there with three different generations of people, we were all equally impressed by the food, environment as well as excellent service. This resto offers extensive menu card, very nice setting and very friendly and professional staff.By far one of the best price - quality places I've visited in years.

Read any business book on the secrets of a succesful business, particularly in the restaurant business and the following buzzwords might appear: location (location, location, location, often repeated a zillion times), original concept, name to remember, fresh produce, a chef with a reputation and a funky interior....... that's probably also the reason why black swans are rare, the wisdom of crowds might not always be right and companies like Apple/Uber/Tripadvisor exist. Because my fellow tripadvisor readers, t Brass Koikke, irrespective of its impossible spelling and name to remember, does absolutely not meet any of the given criteria above. So on its route to bankruptcy? Far from it, believe me. First find it, do not expect a special concept, no funky interior, no famous chef and try to memorize the name (you might need some help at it). But once there, enjoy a limited choice of traditional dishes, all prepared to perfection, at extremely democratic prices, served by professional staff. It is simply good, I cannot say more and I had nothing to complain about. It even has a traditional local beer, which I won't spell but translates into horse-eater. This guy will need mouth to mouth advertising, tripadvisor reviews to survive because no way you will ever walk in that street in search of a bite. But here I am, I support t Brass Koikke. Go there. NOTE: not open on weekends.

Never thought I would visit this restaurant again. We went there in the beginning of its existence and we left the restaurant a bit disappointed.Last week we were invited by some friends and the restaurant has been styled completely. Not only the interior, more important the service and offering. While enjoying a drink, we were informed about the menu. We could choose between one or two starters. Of course, we went for the full option and did not regret it a single second. Wine could be taken by glass at your convenience. They grow some herbs by themselves with fits perfectly in the setting of 'Living Tomorrow'.Outside we noticed a very nice terrace. Too cold for us on Friday evening, should be great over noon. Not to forget, the staff was very friendly and provided information about the food and wine.

Nice Belgian/Asiatic mix for a reasonable price. Fresh ingredients and the menu changes every 8 weeks. Better call ahead because the place is packed, even on week days. Parking not so easy.
