Ideal modern fast food restaurant with a wide selection of meals and a great selection of filled potatoes.Very efficient friendly and helpful staff. Sensible prices for food and wine. All in all a pleasant dining experience open all year round.

This was the only place we encountered people who did not speak a word of English. But they were patient and understood my primitive French. The salmon was cooked to perfection. The wine was good and even the fries were ave average.

We parked virtually outside Le Glacier prior to exploring the very interesting centre of Villeneuve and the Lot river. Being close to lunchtime and looking welcoming we decided to eat here first. Initially we sat outside but being in the shade in early October proved to be a bridge too far for some members of our group, The staff were more than happy to help us move inside the restaurant into the warmth. We had a very pleasant light lunch served by attentive staff and enjoyed by all. A delicious mushroom omlette with all the trimmings in my case. Well worth a visit in my opinion..

This restaurant is new to Villeneuve sur Lot and has fresh modern decor, plenty of space between tables, comfortable seating and is spotlessly clean throughout. It is located near to the cinema near the banks of the R Lot. The service is excellent without being over fussy. We have visited on several occasions at lunch time and on an evening. The seafood platter is excellent as are the specials which change regularly. My favourite was the swordfish venetian style and the lobster lasagne. My least favourite was the lobster which was griddled and tasted bitter and chewy. The wine list is good and they usually have a good value special white wine at around 12 euros a bottle. The owner also has a fishmonger shop and market stall and so the fish is always good quality and fresh. There is a high chair available and the toilets are modern and clean. We own a gite complex in the area and recommend this restaurant to our guests. If you love fish and seafood then this is definitely the best restaurant in Villeneuve Sur Lot.Expect to pay about 20 euros - 30 euros per head. The only downside is that the outside dining area is small and unremarkable.

We went here for lunch for the first time yesterday. We loved the high tables outside and enjoyed the quiet street atmosphere just steps from some of the best shops in the area. The menu is varied and we enjoyed the salads and burgers. The burgers are awesome and interesting. They are themed by country (which sounds a bit tacky but works brilliantly). Delicious. The deserts were varied and the service excellent. My only reason for the 'very good' and not an 'excellent' is just that the house Rose wasn't great. Other than that it was all perfect and we shall definitely return.

Excellent staff and wonderful ambiance, the restaurant is beautifully decorated with fresh flowers. Barbara and her front of house team make you welcome and are very attentive without being overbearing. Food is very good but for the quality a little pricey. Wine list is short but with some good selections available.

Went as a family. As a Breton myself, I found the crepes were good. Like in the previous reviews, the owner does everything himself. It is a small place which was full that night. Although, he seemed to have had some help from one of the customers from another big group (I presume a relative). But yes the guy deserves a medal.

We sampled this restaurant during a visit to Villeneuve. The restaurant was very popular sitting as it does in a corner of the square. The owner / waiter was kept very busy managing all the customers yet you could not fault the attentiveness or service. The menu is Basque based and the food excellent. My daughter and I started by sharing a plate of aged ham - and we were glad that we shared it as it was a good portion. They did a half portion of prawns for my daughter as she did not like the menu enfant - this was at the waiter's suggestion. We all enjoyed the main courses. To be recommended for a good value meal.

A lovely dining experience, made more enjoyable by the friendly, knowledgeable and very efficient staff.Nothing was too much trouble for them (helping a disabled lady or moving diners who changed their minds and wanted to eat indoors - all done with genuine service) -The food - we all have menu de marché at 16 euros - was beautifully presented, fresh and full of flavour throughout. Wine - a carafe of rose was only 8 euros and the water was free and refilled frequently, as was the bread. We will certainly make this one of our frequent dining places and would thoroughly recommend it.
