La Ferme du Poulet is a gastronomic restaurant sets in a former 17th-century stone farm house in the village of Villefranche-sur-Saone, the gateway to the Beaujolais wine region. Free Wi-Fi and parking, patio and garden.
I went there on a business trip and for commercial purpose. I just remember that it was a perfect place also for dating . Nice decoration , good service , very tasty dishes , quiet and relaxing atmosphere . Thanks to the chef and his team ,

We came here, specifically looking for a fine dining experience, and the warm welcome and attentive service throughout surely provided the comfort and ambiance one would expect. Yet we found the food lacking in flavour. We had to ask for salt to try to raise the flavour context. The best thing for any of the three of us was the sauce on the aged beef, it was excellent. The dishes were just ... good, but we couldn't rave about them. The food was good quality and well-plated but not great, not outstanding, not memorable in a way that other reviews suggest, other than it did not live up to expectations. If you are looking for good quality regular bistro food, then fine, you won't be disappointed. Its good cooking, it IS above average - but not "very good". We did enjoy the experience though - as the staff could not have been nicer, esp. the young bearded maitre d' who must have trained in Switzerland. Excellent head of house and manager of the room.Dear Guest,We deeply thank you to share with us your feelings concerning your lunch at Belooga. We'll get in touch with ou differents team to bring changes for proposing to our guest the best service and food.Looking forward to see you again in Belooga !Regards

We stopped in Villefranche by chance after a long drive from Avignon. Our hotel recommended as a regional local French restaurant. We had one of the best meals we experienced in Frace. Paris and Champagne region included. The hostess made perfect suggestions and the local whit burgundy was beyond delicious. I took a risk with the local grouse in whiskey foie gras sauce. Oh my heaven.. Thank you to the woman owner and her chef. Tres manifique.

We had booked to dine at La Table de Maxime two hours after landing from New York - we were tired but eager to start our march through the cuisine of France. We had read about Maxime and are delighted we made a reservation. Unfortunately, we arrived to an empty restaurant - Maxime shrugged his shoulders and said that the day before had been full. This restaurant should never be empty. We were greeted warmly and Maxime personally described the menu to us (in English) and recommended wines by the glass to pair with our dinner. An amuse bouche of gazpacho kicked off our dinner followed by a carpaccio of shrimp. We opted for a white fish for our next course (very large portion that was perfectly done -- we could have been done, but soldiered on!). Next Maxime served lamb in two styles, a cheese course, and fresh strawberry tarte with perfect pastry cream. Both Maxime and his wife (?) were attentive explaining the wines and making our experience exemplary. We agree with those who highlight the quality available here -- we'll return on our next trip to the area.Dear Bryan, Thanks for your kind message! We are glad you appreciated your experience at La Table de Maxime.Hope to have the pleasure of receiving you again!Maxime and Chrystele

We chose this restaurant as it had very good reviews on TA & it had a car-park right next door. Plus it wasn't far from our hotel. The food was very good the service was friendly & efficient (you can't go to far wrong with a man in a waist coat) the Jazz was on a large screen but didn't intrude into conversation. The menu was in French but with a little English thrown in to help out for those of us who didn't take French past the 3rd year. Plus both waiters had a good command on English Both food and wine was reasonably priced I haven't been to New Orleans but I wouldn't food was particular to that town but perhaps has an American twist. All in all a good dinning experience. If you chose this restaurant I'm sure you won't be disappointed. Dear Customer, Thank you very much for this comment. We are very pleased to have helped to meet your European trip. Take care,Frédéric BAGGIERI.

We arrived in Villefranche for the Marathon de Beaujolais weekend and were looking for a place for a late lunch. Many of the other restaurants were closed. We found Comme a la Maison by walking down a long alleyway from the main street. It was just what we were looking for. It is run by a lovely couple and it is just like being at home. There is a choice of two menus - both good. The main dishes when we were there was fish in a white sauce with vegetables or lasagne. We were also entertained by a group of friends from Russia who were singing when the restaurant got quieter. Lovely voices and a fun afternoon. We would have returned but it is only open Monday to Friday in November. Thank you so Muchl! We really enjoyed having you in our restaurant
