you must want to eat cheese. other than that it was great, nice atmosphere and really good food but it's a small place and it's quite out of the way, so book ahead.

We stopped here for lunch while hiking TMB. They had lots of delicious choices. Rosti , salads, sausage with egg dishesThere are places to eat inside or outside on the patio. The views are stunning. It was a little chilly. They had a roaring fire going inside. There were families coming for lunch that were not hiking as well. So there must be a road.

This restaurant serves classic french food without an excessive emphasis on local specialties. We both had perfectly cooked steaks with delicately prepared veg and crispy chips. Dessert however was a disappointment, perhaps we chose badly but the crème Carmel was barely caramel and the pannacotta was average.

What a lovely place to spend an a day or evening on the slopes enjoying a delightful freshly prepared local meal. The views are stunning, the ambiance warm and the food tasty. From early February, as snow permits, ice sculptures decorate the terrain outside the chalet. On Wednesday afternoons, at no charge, participants can create their own works of art carved out of ice before tucking in to pancakes, soup or other warming food and drink. There is a bar for adults and the cafe is open everyday in school holidays including for evening meals plus a 'special on Saturdays. Even though the cafe is situated in a meadow on a foot path, it is easy to access from both car park and the train that stops regularly at Le Buet train station.

There isn't an enormous amount of stuff to do on a cold and rainy summer day in the Alps with two tots, but the weather was a great excuse to eat some traditional warming and filling food. The fabulous welcome given to our two young children was a bonus - child friendly staff and toys to play with. The food was delicious, simple, home made and good quality. We all had an excellent meal.

Very pleasant, caters more for the french, I would definitely say, that the Priceâs that we were charged as tourists, I do not think locals would pay these high prices. Due to the cost of our meal, we would rather travel to Chamonix and dine in Chamonix more choice and better value for your money.
