Positioned right on the Garronne canal it is a beautiful setting on a hot June evening. The restaurant has moorings, water and electricity and we moored up one evening a party of 8. We literally steped off the boat and into the restaurant. Its a little remote but was quickly filled so obviously very popular and rightly so. The food was excellent and the service spot on the owner had a very dry sence of humour delivered in perfecr Franglaise which greatly added to our enjoyment. A wonderful meal in a beautiful setting at a reasonable price, and just when we thought it could get no better we were presented with French bread for our enjoyment the next day. An absolute must if you are on the canal and looking for a spot to moor up and enjoy an evening meal but do book.

Went here for lunch again and had the "moules et frites", excellent. Plenty of them, good sizes as well. We have eaten here several times and have never been disappointed. DO NOT let the front put you off. Go through the bar and out back. Sun shining, plenty of shade, al fresco dining as it should be. Don't expect haut cuisine but do expect good tasty food at a good price.

We were thrilled to find this restaurant open from 7 pm on a Monday evening in a town where the restaurants are mostly closed on Mondays. Even better, the salad entrees we ordered were delicious as was the wine, which we ordered by the glass, the creme brulée we had for dessert, and the service. Prices were very fair and we enjoyed the outdoor seating on a warm fall evening. As we were leaving, we saw the pizzas which had just arrived at a nearby table and they looked crispy and delicious.

Normally when you get great food, you often have small portions, but this is an exception here. Incredible food. Starters were larger than normal, main was a good size and the desert was large enough to leave me completely stuffed. All courses were fantastic, thoroughly recommended.

A modest little restaurant off a main street in Tonneins, with a sign board on the corner and in good weather there are tables outside under an awning. Inside it's cosy and intimate with a faintly Italian décor. The pizzas are good but the main draw is the lunchtime menu at 12.50⬠for three courses with wine and coffee : a generous help- yourself buffet, a choices of several dishes of the day or a pizza and a dessert selection (again, help yourself) which is the best I have ever seen at this price range. The service is swift and efficient and the wine perfectly acceptable. It's a bargain at this level and the food is always well cooked. A real find for a very reasonable price.

We've been coming here on and off when in the region for 6 years and never had a bad meal, on the contrary our experiences here have been consistently delightful. While the menu du jour has only 1 choice there's this is not uncommon in France and there's an excellent a la carte menu if you don't want the daily special - both are tempting. The wine list has something for most tastes and budgets and service has always been polite, friendly and helpful with special requests. My wife had the steak tartare which she chose to compose herself and came with all the ingredients and which she found excellent and no stomach problems! Two of us had the menu du jour a tasty piece of beef probably bavette that was tender, well prepared and tasty. It's worth a word here about the fries.....our experience of fries in France is not that good - all too often the wrong potatoes are used and the oi not hot enough resulting in somewhat greasy chips....NOT SO HERE ! These are as good as you'll find any where whether double fried or not - perfectly crisp outside, soft and fluffy inside and not at all greasy - perfect! Over all our meal for 4 including 2 menus du jour and 2 a la carte with apero's, wine, dessert and coffees came to 112 euros or 28 each - I'd say that's pretty good value. We'll be back for sure. Merci Thierry and Katharina.

We visited this créperie as a party of six for a kid's birthday lunch. It is run by a husband & wife team who gave us a warm welcome and served some very good galettes and crépes. The place is conveniently located just by the main bridge to Tonneins.
