Had dinner here during the Bluegrass Festival. Service was good. Quality wine list. Food is outstanding. Easy to be disappointed by a “French” restaurant in a mountain town like this, but this was no disappointment. Very very well done.Dear ChristopherT2594,We were ecstatic to read your review from June 22. We absolutely love to make our guests happy, and you have made us all feel extra proud for knocking this one out of the park for you. Come back soon!Sincerely,La Marmotte Management

First up the food and service delivery here were very goood, and we had a very enjoyable, reasonably priced (for what it was and where it was located) lunch. The main issue is it opens at 11:00 and doesn’t take reservations. From a visiting European perspective this makes having lunch at a “normal” hour somethin* of a challenge. They do operate a wait list so we swung by and went on th3 list at 1pm to be told there’d be a wait of up to an hour. As we were keen to eat here we took this on the chin and were told we could have a drink in the adjacent chai else and would be told when our turn had come. Unfortunately this wasn’t true. After 45muns we revisited to check on progress and see if another drink was in order to be seated immediately and clearly from the manual list that was plain to see after a number of people who were behind us on the list. So overall this element of the experience can only be viewed as very poor.Once seated we were well attended to by our server. Menu is limited, but understandably so in such a remote location. Unfortunately a number of th3 menu items were sold out (spiced cocktail; rabbit stew). Our food (casoulette and French onion soup with rib) was delicious. Our bill was wrong when it arrived, and whilst it was wrong in our favour we did ask them to correct which they seemed to be appreciative of, but I’m not convinced - it was almost like we were causing them a problem. So, in summary, great food bad experience.

Unique private dining experience unlike any other restaurant in Telluride. The chief (Mark) is very talented and the food was some of the best my wife and I have ever had. (And we travel a lot, and enjoy our foodie lifestyle.) The service was wonderful and unique. The dining room was fashioned after an old world speak easy, secret password and all... Finding the restaurant was half the fun, their is no sign for “The Tunnel” (look for the sign for Zest’s Catering. But all that would mean nothing if the food wasn’t to die for... it was. We went with a group of six friends, my wife is vegetarian and the chief and staff could not have been accommodating. The food was amazing good, the wine pairings were excellent, and the entire night was a tremendous hit with everyone in our party. If you are visiting Telluride, make a reservation, and be prepared for a wonderful dining experience. You will not be disappointed...
