Restaurant looks out to the lovely chateau but is right on the main road with lots of passing traffic Menu is too long to offer excellent food and some dishes seemed better than others. Saw some pizza delivered at next table and it looked burnt. Prices are quite high for the food quality.

The restaurant is large, with outside seating. The staff seemed tired. We noticed unappetising plates of chips and steak, andouillette etc. being delivered to other tables and decided on a pizza. Apart from the gloopy substance that passes for mozzarella in many pizzerias these days, the base and other ingredients were OK. The ice cream was very good and we shared a bottle of Cheverny which redeemed the dining experience.

We stayed in this hotel on a Sunday night, and the restaurant was closed. The room was comfortable, clean and quiet, even though we were beside a busy road. Breakfast was reasonably priced and contained a wide variation of choices.

Visiting friends who live near the Loire, this was their choice for a busy Saturday night before Mother's Day. Every table was full, and from our selections rightly so. The restaurant is friendly, unpretentious and very moderate for the quality of the cuisine. Quenelles and foei gras were recommended, and they were excellent. I also enjoyed a Pamentier de lapin. The shredded rabbit and potatoes were a hearty and delicious dish. Desserts were fine but not exemplary. The wine list was wide ranging and very fairly priced. On an extremely busy night, the service was extremely efficient and friendly. Our friends told us that many Parisians have second homes in the area. The mix of locals, big city folks and us was interesting. It is always nice to be a part of a convivial crowd. We can see why this is one of their favorite places to dine. There is limited parking, but somehow everyone found a place.

Just the sort of place I associate with so many places in France, though they are gradually becoming less common. I had a simple lunch of terrine followed by faux-filet overlooking the beautiful chateau. No frills service was brisk and efficient. The food was proper French everyday food. Just what it should say on the tin.

Hardly know what this pub is like inside, because it was so hot when we were there we always sat out at the roadside terrace. The young barmaid and her young daughter were as friendly as you could find, and they served with a smile and helped my improve my limited French.

Amazing food, very creative, beautifully presented and very tasty. I had the most amazing cauliflower sauce on my veal that vanilla in it and John had some lovely fish. Very good value for money and a small but carefully selected wine list. Very well looked after. It was a great find for the last night of the holiday and the chef should be going places.

The Hostellerie of grand Sully, located near from the Castle of Sully, welcomes you for a meal in the gastronomic restaurant or a stay in one of its 13 luxurious rooms.
The dinners were off high quality - our meals were well balanced with some unusual mixing of flavours and textures which made the meals quite memorable and worth a second visit! The breakfast equally pleasant. A hard working family enterprise that deserves its good reputation - widely recoignised with the awards given to it

Great restaurant on recommendation of the hotel. Very well presented and tasty food, particularly the goats cheese starter. Served by, we assume, the female half of the owners who was lovely and very funny, then her husband appeared and very much was mine host, but really caring about how guests felt and were they enjoying themselves. We loved the flambed crime brûlée with a unique way of doing it. Intrigued by who eats there. Everyone else seemed to be locals, we had been booked in by the hotel, but there were 2 tables of 2 next to us but they turned away two parties one of 4 and one of 3. The chef looked quite young so we wondered if they have an approach of nobly take in as many people as they know they can attend to properly. Certainly worked for us and we would go back definitely. Quels compliments . Nous avons aussi passé un très bon moment en votre compagnie . Vous êtes très agréables . Ce sera avec plaisir que nous vous recevrons de nouveau .Avec toute notre sympathie ,Jocelyne et Jean-Luc
