This restaurant is worth a visit. In the nice setting next to the Chateau Florian the Chene Blanc has served us with a very pleasant diner. For the 24⬠it was an excellent meal. Also the Pic Saint Loup was an excellent red wine.
Some of the best ice cream in the region. Great snacky type food and good more substantial meals when they put on events. Book early in Summer when there is music, as several hundred people turn up.

Restaurants like this are getting harder to find in France in my opinion. They serve a great value fixed menu at lunch Mon to Wed (if I remember rightly), no choice of starter or main but a choice of pudding and 25cl of wine included. Our meal was delicious, the service was friendly and helpful. We ate on the shady terrace which was delightful. We returned and ate again another day and it was equally good. Super!

Au Bon Jaja offers a great variety of local wine and food, in the center of the lovely medieval village of Sauve. Everything is organic ! Cheers !
Wonderfully situated in a medieval square, Au Bon Jaja is a great place to have a meal. The 80, mainly local wines are delicious and a perfect accompaniment to the great dishes available, all of which are sourced locally and of the highest quality.Already getting a reputation for the fantastic foie gras. You can order in English and French as the owner is bilingual, (she also speaks Spanish and some Japanese).

The restaurant ice-cream maker La Servane welcomes you of Tuesday in Sunday noon from 12 am till 1:30 pm and in the evening from Thursday till Saturday from 19 hours.
Visited Sauve on Sunday and parked near this Bar/Restaurant....was a very hot day and decided to pop here for drinks before exploring Sauve...there were 6 of us.Two men were already sitting outside drinking beers when we went to sit down....we were then told it was actually closed and the proprietor was cleaning tables, watering plants etc. We went to walk away but were asked what we actually wanted ....to eat or just drink? They were very accommodating and said don't go if it's drinks that's not an issue. We were served drinks with a smile and after watering his flowers the guy turned on the misters over the seating area which kept us cool with a fine misty spray of water....couldn't ask for more. Finished our drinks and headed off. Passed by an hour and a half later and it was all closed up....They are actually closed for business on a Sunday and Monday but were willing to serve us and put a few more Euro's in their till...whilst they were having a clear up.Thank you....a cold beer was just what we needed!

Hello the restaurant is opened for lunch and diner the 30 of april, the 1st of may and the 7, 8 and 21 of may. Letâs call us! See you !
Iâve reviewed restaurants for Trip Advisor for decades, and always try to present the best attributes of a restaurant before the worst, and balance the service with the cost etc. We were excited to eat here, having seen how well ranked it was in Trip Advisor. But this was our experience: Service-this was mixed, a nice young man who spoke good English was very attentive, then a very assertive woman presented herself who explained the menu (which was helpful) but also simultaneously berating the waiter.....it was a bit amateur to put it politely. Starters were ok, foie gras and terrine, We complained about our mains, the chicken dish was very dry and tasteless, my curry was watery, lacking depth of flavour and over cooked rice and broccoli, which was soggy. The chef emerged and apologised so profusely it was almost embarrassing. The deserts were equally unspectacular. I must say we were quite shocked being served such badly executed food in France, in fact, after decades of travel in France this was a first for us. I could not recommend this place to anyone unfortunately, and will not be returning. Yes I apologized a lot because you were so heavy from the beginning to the end. Good luck to the other restaurants you will visit

OK, I'm maybe biased because I live in Sauve, but the 'Troquet' is a regular weekend meeting place for myself and friends. The menu changes all the time, but there is always a substantial meat dish, vegetarian items and tapas type choices. The young owners seem to conjure up a special atmosphere, with art exhibitions and concerts in the spacious back room. In Summer the terrace is always full, so get there early to ensure a place. You might see some of Sauve's many musicians, including myself, having an impromptu session in the open air. Many of the players are pros. Credit cards aren't accepted. Something for every taste and budget.

From the greeting to the surprisingly good value for money I cannot fault a thing. Lovely setting serving delicious, fresh, modern cuisine. They also have a good simple childrenâs menu understanding that kids like simple flavours. Excellent.

This is a very pleasant place that takes itself seriously and does everything right - except serve memorable food. It was very odd - dish after dish arrived looking exactly like the real thing (including a whole roast chicken with a carving knife stuck promisingly in its perfect golden breast) only to fail to deliver in the mouth. That chicken, for example, was dull and bland. The place is busy, so it must be doing something right - but not for us that lunchtime.
