We stopped for lunch about 11:30 after our visit to the Market and Basilica. The Café sits right on the street overlooking the market so lots of activity on that day. We were seated promptly at our table of choice outside by a very pleasant server. We enjoyed the shrimp salad--recommended, and the Angus steak which was excellent as well. Service was prompt and helpful but not rushed. Even though a very hot day, the covered area, including trees made it most comfortable. We had a very enjoyable lunch and highly recommend.

La Table de Provence was recommended to us by a local florist and we were not disappointed. It's on the corner of the pedestrianised street that leads down into town from the basilica and the hotel de ville, a bright exterior and a minuscule interior with half a dozen tables, jams, olive oil and other provencale products offered for sale along the walls. The patron cooks in the kitchen and it's presumably his wife who greets the clients and takes and serves their orders. That's the sum total of staff, and what an excellent job they do. We went there for an early lunch shortly after 12 noon. My wife chose confit of duck served with gnocchi, while I had blanquette de veau with seasonal vegetables. Both dishes were as hearty and delicious as you would wish. We bought a litre of olive oil for 13.50 euros, but even so the bill came to little over 50 euros for two. This was impressive value.

We had a large portion of scallop/veal starter and then a hake main course. Both nicely presented. There was a huge cheese board with the usual selection and also many goats cheeses. The restaurant was reasonably busy with French even on a dark winter evening. I would prefer that they provided salt and pepper on the table, individual tastes do vary and on the whole it was under-seasoned for us.

What a terrific place to find! Itâs a small place, but everything we ordered was so good. The burgers are the best Iâve ever had anywhere in France - lots of choices in toppings too. The buns are homemade. The fries were exactly the way I like them - thinner cut, crispy, tasty. The dessert we shared was the chocolate lava cake with ice cream - so good! Even the ice cream tasted homemade. The restaurant prides itself on being as âgreenâ as possible- including straws on request only. We will definitely be back, even if we have to go out of our way to make a stop there.Bonjour !! A bientôt !!

We stumbled on this place and were immediately attracted by the food on the plates of those already tucking in, followed by the reassurance that dishes were not only vegetarian or vegan: carnivores are welcome too. The plats du jour cost â¬7.50 so we feasted for less than any other place would have charged and enjoyed the warmth and solicitude of the owner and his team. A great find!
