Friendly restaurant with simple food. A selection of Galettes at reason bile prices as well as good variety of pancakes to follow. If you are looking for a cheap meal in pleasant surroundings, this is the place for you.

This has soon become one of my favourite restaurants in Saint Jean d'Angely. There is plenty of competition too. The galettes are very good indeed, as is the salad with duck breast. The service is slightly lacking, it certainly seems like you have interrupted them when you place an order but the food more than makes up for it. Also they do a very good Charentais white wine.

Stylish but reasonable little restaurant, mainly fish. We went lunchtime and it was very busy, with one poor lady doing orders and the cooking, so she was rushed off her feet. Whilst the food was okay the service was hurried and impersonal which spoilt the meal for us.

Very comfortable restaurant with modern decor; super friendly staff who were happy to explain the menus, dishes and recommend wine. We chose the 15⬠express menu and for a small extra charge were able to combine starters and mains from the more expensive carte du jour. I had the carpaccio of beef (very tender), the pluma with chorizo sauce ( a very tender and flavoursome pork dish) washed down with a light red wine from the Loire. 4 people with drinks about 100â¬. We were happy with that. Recommended.

The food that we all had was distinctly average for a French restaurant and the service by both wait staff was very poor with little communication and rudeness whilst serving, just seemed as though they wanted to get us out as soon as possible.

Outstanding hotel and restaurant quality of food and service is second to none. We were looked after by a recently voted Master Restaurateur of France! Wonderful experience and the knowledge of the patron was unbelievable. Excellent value and would surpass any Michelin star restaurant in the UK. Canât wait to return. Well done

World cuisine, Vegetarian, made with local and organic produce wherever possible. Vegans and gluten-free options are shown in the menu. The menu changes every week based on seasonal produce. The restaurant is composed of a single room, open to the kitchen
Went for a family lunch, were presented with a very limited menu. Choices made and then the wait.... after a thirty minute wait I chased up Madame who told me it would be at least another ten minutes. I asked if it could be faster as we only had to leave in thirty minutes. I was told tough. Not her problem. We asked for the bill and were then told they don't take cards. This is not mentioned anywhere on the menu or in the restaurant -Any cards inc French ones. Appalling attitude, appalling service. Go to le scorlion it's better in every way.
