After a nice ride through the route of ridges we did a stop at Prat du Bouc for our lunch. This place was buzzing on the 24th of May, and immediately when inside, I asked the tenant to keep for us the remaining portions of blueberries pies, and only two were left! This is a killer :)We enjoyed our meals and all nine took portion of steak of Salers, this is so delicious!I want tell for the dessert, but we all enjoyed it to the outmost!

As the only residents during our stay we were looked after really well. Lovely room (for this is also a hotel and spa) with a balcony view of the old church and other old houses. Beautiful area with stunning views and after a bit of hiking a good soak in the jacuzzi and a sauna was most welcome. Home cooked local specialities went down nicely with reasonably priced good selection of wines available. Loved it!

We had two nice meals at Chez Lucy. As we were a family of 4 adults and two children and a baby we really appreciated how easily they accommodated us at lunch time in a busy ski resort. The food was both healthier and less fast food than the other resort restaurants. We had lots to eat and there was salad and home made pates and home made soup as well as the expected troufades and aligot. It was all very nice.

Very small restaurant which was packed to the gills midweek (admittedly during the school holiday period for Paris). We had the dish of the day which was the truffade which is basically potatoes chopped up with lardons, onions and lots of cheese (vaguely looks like a large omelette) and this was accompanied by a confied sausage and some sauce (plus a few grated carrots and salad leaves on the side). The food was good and hearty - dessert I had the fromage blanc with blueberries, mother had the fennel crème brulee and other half had the pancake with blueberries. Everyone was happy enough with their meal.

Third or fourth trip to this great authentic restaurant. Delicious burger with an amazing sauce. Try to get here for lunch outside on the terrace. And then you shall return like myself, even though it's a three hour drive.

Nice little family restaurant in saint jacques des blats. We are suggesting to you a very local food and fresh products.(truffade, pounti, cheese from Auvergne, exellent meat from Cantal, house made desserts). At the foot of the Cantal mountains, very close to
5 minutes walk from the camp-site in St-Jacques, so the obvious place for us to have dinner. Quite limited choice - as far as I remember, it was the â¬19 menu or nothing, but there were several choices within that, and it was for 4 courses (only problem was we had had quite a big lunch, and what we really wanted was just an omelette or similar, but we forced ourselves!). Service was very efficient (a bit too efficient at one point - my plate for fish bones was removed when I was only part-way through filleting my fish!), and the food was generally excellent, but with just one exception - the chips were probably the worst I have ever eaten since my school days (when meals used to come in great big metal containers from some central kitchen miles away - our school didn't have its own canteen - and the chips were horrible, greasy flaccid lumps of starch). That aside, everything else was very good. We had a nice bottle of local wine too for a very reasonable â¬12.80

We were recommended to visit here by our hotel.Week day visit was so quiet that it wasn't even open in the afternoon, but had a note on the door (in French only of course) to book a table for that evening by phone. We were warmly welcomed as one of two couples dining and the three course food was all brought promptly and nicely presented. The second visit on Friday that same week the place was almost entirely full and the staff were bustling and even running to and fro up and downstairs and down to the kitchens. The food was still good and the menu interesting. A must try is the regional speciality "Pounti" a savoury cake of cheese/greens/ham/prunes served warm with a salad.the rest of the menu is heavy with cheese and ham too but the steaks are also nice.good service and reasonably high prices but choices are few in this resort, especially low season midweek.Booking definitely recommended.

Visited this restaurant on Saturday 20th Feb as a group of 8 following a great skiing holiday in Le Lioran. The staff were very welcoming and were very friendly with us all, particularly with our children with who they were genuinely happy to speak to. The menu is very much geared towards typically French foods with a few familiar favourites, this was expected as they resort is not aimed at other nationalities which and is something we are aware of. The food was quick and well cooked as requested. The restaurant is on 2 levels and we were downstairs, as the place was full it made for a great atmosphere where we didn't have to be worried about making noise and having a laugh. Only criticism would be to have a slightly larger selection for children. Overall a very nice evening with friends in a resort we will revisit next year.
