It is August and the coastal towns are packed with awkward vacationers. We purposely took middle cornish (Back-road) on our return from Honfleur to Cabourg. We saw the main restaurant near the tourism office, but decided to turn just east of the center of town. Then out of now where came this place. It was a chilly night, but they had the out-door space covered with canvass and the heaters were full on. It was incredibly comfortable. The man in charge was very welcoming for everyone. Even us with limited french vocabulary received a very warm welcome. I had the ramp on a stick and my wife hade the three cheese penne. Both were out-standing. The calvados at the end of the meal was the best/sweetest we have had. This is the beginning of a long adventure for us and look forward to many more discoveries such as this. To be honest I was surprised to find them already listed in trip advisor. Guess I am going to have to step up my game.

Reasonably priced crêperie ideal for lunch, we had a salad and one of the toasts from the menu, both were very generously served with fresh products, the service was very friendly and the restaurant itself was well decorated and laid out.The only negative points were, the wait for the food was a bit long and the products were not necessarily in accordance with the season.Overall though a pretty good little restaurant.

Totally unexpected. I thought we were going for really traditional French cuisine. It was, but everything with a very different twist. Each meal had a spice, a subtle touch that reminded of the Caribbeans. Whether it was that very special pepper sauce, flavourful but not strong or all the desserts that were to die for. Service is impeccable. Decor is really nice.

You read the review, you are expecting the best time after a little time in the swimming pool... and NOTHING... the waiter is borderline rude, at least really not welcoming. Apparently no knowledge of customer service. And the food .... 20 to 25 minutes between dish.... no excuse, and plain, tasteless dish...

This is a good place to drop in if you are looking for something local and reasonably priced. The menu offers a good selection of French cuisine and the set menu offers great value for money. The staff speak reasonable English and will help with the menu, although they donât have an English menu. Being off the beaten track and some distance from Deauville you pay about half the price o what you would in the touristic area.

We have been t this restaurant today. The table near us was occupied with a group with a star pei dog with no muzzle, who nearly bites our kid.The cup of coffee was on my friend's dress and it was a waiter's fault, but no excuses, no napkins, nothing...we asked the dog's owners to put a dog out of the restaurant so we can leave, but the owner said that a dog is more important and this is our problem.STAY AWAY!!!

We enjoyed a wonderful dinner at Auberge Le Cheval Blanc, expensive, but wonderful. The four of us each had a different tasting menu. We were all pleased by our meals. From start to finish, each dish was perfectly prepared, tasty and served properly.I strongly recommend the tasting menus, rather than ordering al a carte. They are a better value and permit you to taste three courses.Their wine list is solid, with many fine selections.

We were heading back from Deauville to Paris and we suddenly felt hungry. We happened to find this great restaurant thanks to TripAdvisor. And it is a definitely a fresh change from overpriced and not so savory restaurant you can come across Deauville. Chef takes pride in focusing on few qualitative ingredients that are localy sourced. The cuisine is creative and flavorful. You have this great feeling of happiness when tasting the food.We had the 32 euros menu: amuse bouche, starter (cod ceviche with violet potatoes, mango chutney and oranges flavors), main (lieu with season vegetables, risotto venera, vanilla sauce and pomme dauphine's) and dessert (passion fruit souffle, ananas tartare and tuile almond caramel and banana mousse). I had just the main meal for 20 euros and the chef adapted the main meal for our 4 years old daughter (superb fish and vegetables)/(10 euros). The service is extremely friendly and flexible. We arrived just before the restaurant closed and they kindly accepted to serve us. We didn't mention we didn't eat meat. The amuse bouche were revisited chicken maki. And when we told them we couldn't eat them, they came back a few minutes later with fish friendly amuse bouche.Thank you for this delightful meal and for the friendly and warm welcome!

Everything on the menu is sourced locally and made fresh so donât expect a 10 page menu choice. We were impressed by every dish, the presentation was superb and the range of tastes innovative. Particularly enjoyed the veal and the chocolate dessert but the menu does change so expect to be surprised. Would not be surprised to hear that this restaurant wins some awards! A little gem very close to more expensive Deauville.

Gosh - at the best of times French cuisine can flatter to deceive. This place gave it to you straight between the eyes. Yesterdayâs chips served with a sparrowâs arse of a chicken breast fried to its pitiful death and served in a teaspoonful of nondescript sauce. Surely a yardstick for not giving a **** about your customer
