We got there for a second time and was extremely happy to see that it was even better than before! The welcoming and the service were perfect! The waitress is a very pleasant person, ready to help with everything! But the best part is the food itself! It is great! First, it is fresh products, second it is greatly cooked and third they have daily menu -plat du jour- which is excellent and quite big for a rather cheap price! I really appreciated everything and highly recommend it!

Day trip to Frejus. Whilst the historic town area was 'ok' cannot say worth a return visit as cannot compare to laces nearer our Antibes base. Anyway whilst there we selected 'a table' for lunch tased on TA reviews and were not disappointed. It is very small and a little outside the main Rea (only a few minutes walk). Sat outside and I had duck leg with potato whilst the others shared a goats salad and nice home made chips.

Fantastic. The most friendly welcome. We are wine makers and when we asked for advice were recommended the cheapest wine on the menu, which was great. We ate the menu du jour (moules marinères) with the dessert du jour (fondant choco poire) and homemade profiteroles. When we asked for a dessert wine, we were presented with a bucket of muscat each, which was also delicious. We were also recommended, earlier in our visit, to eat at L'Amandier, a restaurant round the corner. The staff were friendly but we had a hair in our very dry apperitif cake and were placed, bizarrely at the back of the windowless restaurant with the other two occupied tables. Nobody sat in the front three tables that had natural light? We paid far more and felt shut away from the world. We would recommend wholeheartedly this simple little treasure and we will return!bonjour!!!!!Merci beaucoup pour votre choix.

The staff were friendly and particularly attentive. It was a really lovely evening. Merci pour ce "FANTASTIQUE" commentaire. We had a great evening recently. Our first time here after narrowly missing the opening a couple of month's ago. Our waiter was very personable and explained the menu well. There are a couple of set menu options as well as an exciting a la carte selection. It was great to see fish offered on the set menu both in the starter and main course. The herring fillets with potato salad were excellent. We both had Dorado en papilotte for mains. Everything was very fresh, home made and well presented. Please keep up the good work. We look forward to a return visit.

This review is 50% for Roquebune-sur-Argens and 50% for Evelyne. We come to Roquebrune once a year and love it. It's one of the most authentic non-pretentious villages in the South Of France. Maybe it's because it's inland, away from the coast and crowds. It's a working, lived in village and a relief from the upturned noses of Le Cote d'Azur. It's friendly if you are. It's so quiet and sums up all of the best things about France... a medieval square with a great regular cafe that makes the perfect cafe au lait or draft beer or Pastis. Watch the footy or just listen for the hourly church bells. We went here for our coffee after Evelyne. We rang in advance on the Sat morn and booked for Sat lunch. Got a lovely table for 4 outside. We were all completely unadventurous and went for lamb steaks and chips. Lamb cooked perfectly (medium rare with Rosemary) and chips you rarely get in France - like the english ones your mum (or dad if he was good) used to make. Well-done and lots of salt. Deserts, like the mains, were simple - crepes, strawberries and cream etc. Home cooked food kept simple and cooked perfectly is what Evelyne is about. Meal with half a carafe of rose (& cokes for the kids) for 2 adults and 2 children (mains and desert) came to â¬60 or £45. Our Frank (8) described his lamb as 'legendary'. I don't want to over-do-it as it's the simplicity of Roquebrune and Evelyne that does it for us every time. Just about perfect. 4 stars only because I'm a realistic (expect the worst and hope for the best).

We tried Les Jardins De L'Orangeraie after reading the reviews on trip advisor and were not disappointed. A beautiful setting, really friendly welcome and great food - if you are after somewhere nice to eat this is the place.

This little bistro is most certainly in one of the strangest finds ever. Located on an new office / business development this bistro serves unpretentious meals with flair and panache whilst maintaining a very relaxed family atmosphere. The menu is varied, well cooked and served hot. You can see the chefs working their magic as the kitchen is open plan. There is extensive open air seating or a large inside area should the weather prove inclement.Reasonably priced limited wine list serving the best from the local area. Excellent free parking. One suggestion is that when dusk falls some form of table lighting might be provided to create even more ambience.

We visited here for a snack and were not disappointed. The crepes were really good, cooked to order and full of flavour. The lady serving, who may have been the owner, was very helpful.Located on the main shopping street, there is lots of seating, both in and out, and parking is either on street, there is a car park just down the road, or there is a large car park just a little further down the road on the left.Recommended.
