Best steak I've eaten in years! Pasta dishes excellent, too. Popular with locals - always a good sign. Menu du jour was â¬11.50 for 3 courses, wine and coffee.

Stopped here for lunch. There was a set meal of the day and al a carte menu. We chose the meal of the day which was a salad followed by tart and fries and coffee. We asked for the starter and main to be served together as we thought they would go well together. We also had a glass of rosé whilst the meal was cooked. The salad was lettuce, red onion, grated carrot, tomatoes, sweet corn and tuna salad. The main was Swiss cheese tart with French fries. These came on a large plate, which they filled. The food was very tasty and well cooked, if there was anything I would have changed the tart had a soggy pastry bottom, probably because of the warming process. All this came to â¬31.Service was friendly and helpful with the waitress helpfully speaking some English. When we arrived there was just one person eating and a couple had left as their table was not fully cleared. This made the restaurant very quiet.

Had great pizza and steak haché frites with the kids on arrival in Brittany. Dropped an envelope with â¬200, went back the next day on the off-chance they had it. Sure enough they had it under the counter and happily returned it to us. What great, honest folk. Highly recommended.

A proper familly run creperie where you will be remembered when you go back. The food is good, as you would expect a creperie that services locals to be. To gain the best though, you need to go and sit outside under the shadow of the ramparts. It will add greatly to your enjoyment. Watch the dog - it might be little but you could get beaten to death by that tail....

This was recommended to us by some friends, although we were warned by the gîte owners that the pizzas here are a bit overcooked. They were right! The topping is are delicious but the bases are like cardboard, they've been in the oven so long. I wouldn't suggest this for a pizza.

It is good to find a reasonable restaurant, particularly in the quieter parts of France at this time of year. Four of us checked on the internet first of all to see if it was open. So many restaurants close down or are only open for a few days a week out of season. We went on a Tuesday evening and when we arrived were given a table in a warm cosy corner. The waitress was cheerful and very helpful. We enjoyed kirs as an aperitif and later with our meal followed up with two carafes of wine to suit all of our choices. The wine and kirs were most acceptable and we were also given some water without being asked which was good, in our view. Two of us ate omelettes whilst the others enjoyed steak with plenty of French fries. The banana splits portions were generous and tasty. One other person came in whilst we were there to pick up a take away. We felt it was a great pity that others had not come into this welcoming restaurant.Do go and try it out. I forgot to mention the prices were very reasonable.

Brilliant traditional "menu du jour" restaurant....so French that it hurts! Fantastic 4 course lunches for 11,50â¬, including wine. Reportedly the oldest bar in Brittany, run by a lovely, polite gentleman, serving local beers on draught. They sometimes have unusual local delicacies on the menu, which may not always be to English tastes, but there is always an alternative.

Menu : 11â¬90 Avec Café : 13â¬10 Formule: Buffet Entrée, 4 Plats Du Jours Au Choix, Fromage, Buffet De Dessert
Good Buffet and wine on tap. Menu changes, always good. Local restaurant for workers and surrounding villages. Loic and Bridgett are natural hosts and take pride in Che Marie The. Service is amazing, usually one person taking orders in the restaurant. I have lunched there for over 15 years and it is always authentic and welcoming.

We went here after having booked for a group of 4. When we arrived there was a bit of confusion as they thought there was only 2 of us for the booking. There wasn't a problem and they sorted a table for 4 for us. We ate in the restaurant bit of the of the building. Boringly, we all had the fish and chips. What a brilliant choice. It all seemed really fresh and superbly cooked. It was as good as or better than any other fish and chips we'd had. Friendly, pleasant staff too. We'll be making a return visit here.

L'Atelier Bistrot is a wonderful restaurant that should be visited if youre staying in the area or nearby. Food was extremely tasty and service was welcoming and very efficient. Booking is a must though.
