We visited this restaurant whilst on holiday in Notre Dame De Monts with friends and family.Service was fine, however, the waitress did not speak a word of English and the menu was in French and there were no English translations. Lucky for us one of our party could speak French and we were able to order what we wanted. The menu was quite extensive, ranging from pizza, pasta and French cuisine. The food was averagely presented, however, I found the taste very bland and uninspiring. I had the Spaghetti Carbonara which was presented with a raw egg, however, it was almost inedible due to the overpowering taste of smoked bacon which was very undercooked and fatty.Dessert was a disappointment too, the profiteroles were filled with ice cream and the pastry very bland and hard.Prices were reasonable, however, for the overall experience and the problems with our food, I did not feel it was good value at all.

This bar / restaurant sits on a most exceptional beach, hugely entertaining with walkers, cyclists, horses even a group of aqua-aerobics enthusiasts. We arrived here late in the afternoon, booked into the hotel and strolled down to the beach and had a couple of drinks. We tried to book an evening meal but the place was booked solid. We had our drinks and headed for La Pergola then came back the next day for breakfast. This place is really lovely with great, friendly service and very good value...but don't forget to book if you want to eat there. The food's lovely but the location makes it exceptional.

Great friendly place just off the beach. Great service, excellent moules and great value. We stopped for a break after cycling up the coast and had starters and moules. The restaurant is really well designed, a pleasure to sit in and enjoy a well cooked pot of moules. Plenty of choice in how they are cooked and plenty to choose from if you are not a fan of mussels. I hope the effort put into the place is rewarded, if we were not 30km down the coast we would be back for more.

Specialities of the region, fish, eels, frogs legs and also beef filet. Fresh products, everything is prepared in the kitchen and made by the chef. Nice local traditionnal restaurant.
First observations: Gorgeous old building with some open air and conservatory style additions. Friendly, attentive service. Fairly small, but varied menu. For our lunch we were offered the special starter of sardines and their wine of the day. We went for the wine, a lovely white Burgundy, which perfectly complimented my starter of home smoke salmon salad. Mrs Express went for the Foie Gras. Both were excellent with a great small salad, with assorted beets and micro herbs on the side, and the Foe Gras was also excellent. 5 stars each. My main of monkfish wrapped in bacon was very good, nice balance of fresh and salty with a nice tower of roasted summer veg and a lovely champagne sauce. But the fried risotto 'squares' didn't taste of much other than fried breadcrumbs and were a disappointment. 4 stars. Mrs E's beef fillet was superb though. Beautifully flavoured beef, amazing beef jus, lovely baby roast potatoes and a generous smeer of pureed root veg. An absolute triumph worth of a much more expensive restaurant. Deserts were very good; a perfectly 'tart' ie not too sweet, lemon meringue 'pie' with lemon sorbet was really tasty and the ice cream in a sugar bowl with cream, chocolate sauce and fruit also lovely. One small criticism was the bread served with the starters was stale, and not even a home baked roll that I would have expected in such a good restaurant. All in all, for a little over 100 EUR (we only had the bottle of wine to drink) and tap water, we both felt this a very fair price for the standard of food and setting.

Primarily a pizza restaurant, the menu also offers other choices. I chose the special, sole in a citron butter. The fish was lovely and white, firm but not hard and the sauce just lemony enough. Service was absolutely service with a smile! If you're choosing a starter you may want to share unless you are feeling very hungry.

Antony and Helene have this restaurant for over 10 years and will be delighted to welcome you with family, friends or groups. They offer a generous kitchen as maritime accents and a nice wine list. Service is attentive. The new decor, which has retained i
We visited this restaurant on the outskirts of the town. It is situated on the main road towards St Jean de Monts and has good parking. There is a terrace as well as two main dining rooms. The atmosphere is quietly 'old French' but not stuffy. The staff are welcoming and able to communicate in English. There is also an English menu which descibes the ethos of the dining experience as well as giving written and pictoral help to facilitate making an informed choice. We tried both the lunchtime and dinner service and were not disappointed with either sitting. The service is relaxed rather than formal but there is also an air of good old fashioned attentive service from the young waitresses. Our meal was excellent, as was the choice of wines, the food being flavoursome and well cooked. Nothing was rushed and we found the cost lower than one would expect making eating here excellent value for money.Hello and thank you for sharing your experience. We also thank you for your warm comments that made us very happy and for your confidence. I'm looking forward to seeing you again.

Nouveau restaurant tendance ouvert depuis avril 2012, Galettes, , Wok, Moules ,grill, menu du jour et salade .
The restaurant offers a broad range of cuisine but has 'wok' as its speciality. We initially thought that it was rather pricy (18euros) for what is essentially a noodle stir fry but the quality of the ingredients and the portion sizes made us happy we had splashed out. I had Wok de la Mer - scallops, mussles and langoustine in a mild curry sauce. Delicious. Service was friendly and efficient. A welcome addition to the usual pizza and moules frites restaurants in town.

The main courses 'cassoulet de mer', modules curry, and burger all good. Don't understand the reviews regarding desserts unless they have changed as we had really lovely and huge ice cream dishes (not for dieters!!) - well presented and tasty. The service was friendly and with our pigeon French and their excellent English there were no language barriers. A really great evening thank you.

Come to discover our menus around a table combining local dishes and sea food, share in peace a good time with family or couple in zen and relaxed atmosphere
Always a choice of fish or meat as the main course on the set menu. The oysters (6) as a starter were delicious. Lamb shank was oh so tender and the pear poached in curacao was a delight - see photo. We ate dinner here for a week whilst staying in the Hotel Atlantic and each meal was a delight. We could have chosen from the A La Carte but the set menu was always tempting enough! The staff were attentive and even when the restaurant was busy, the service was always fluid. The chef was willing to cope with variations such as having potatoes instead of rice. We were also able to keep our bottle of wine from one evening to the next. Vegetarians options are available.
