We visited this restaurant with friends, while on a one night stop in Niort. Not knowing anything about the area, we chose the restaurant because the seating looked nice and the waiters were all very smartly dressed in their uniforms. We were not disappointed, after being shown our table we were brought an aperitif each on the house and a few nibbles while we looked at the menu. All four of us chose something different in all three courses. Between us we had fish, beef, pinade and chicken dishes, all the plates were cleared and all enjoyed their choices, the entreé and deserts were just as good, and the wines we chose complimented our dishes very well. The staff were friendly and attentive without being overbearing.Would not hesitate in coming here again if we are ever in this area.

What can you expect having diner in a country where food is served of excellent quality. This restaurant serves food of the season. The staff is friendly, and even talks English. If you are in niort and look for a good place to eat this is the place. Please book otherwise it could turnout in a disappointing experience.

Went here for evening dinner, whilst on a business trip in the area. Staff very friendly, and this restaurant is, in my opinion, a lot more than just a standard French bistro. Would definitely go back. A wonderful find for dinner. Great atmosphere, superb food, with an interesting and inexpensive wine-list. Food was really very very good - a very memorable. My only regret is that my wife wasn't with me.

We went there for the TripAdvisor reviews and it actually exceeded expectations. For a table of 4 we order one of the terrines as starter, it was really nice with ratatouille, foie, prawns, etc. it was really nice but the best part were actually the mains. I got a duck leg and it was really good, another person got the steak which was outstanding as well. Then, even if we were full we ordered some desserts and didn't disappoint either, I had a great lemon meringue tart that was a really big portion and really yummy. Overall a great experience and a good price. I'd be back without a doubt if in Niort again.

Absolutely delicious food, good value. Serious food, artistically presented and delicious to eat. I took EricH's advice and had the St Jacques and I agree with him that they are amongst the best I have ever had. Simply served with some julienned vegetables they made a perfect main course. I had the Huitres Nagé to start with and that was very good and an imaginative thing to do with oysters. We were given a glass of Chamapagne as an aperitif and that did help to make the evening go with a fizz. My companion had the medallions of Monkfish with bacon, which he liked. It was lovely to have a meal which wasn't heavy so we both had desserts from a very tempting menu and both were lovely. Altogether a very nice evening, made to feel very welcome by the staff, who spoke good English if we needed it. This restaurant is well known by locals and you might need to book in busy times. Recommended by our beautiful hotel, it was only a short walk away.

I'm late submitting this review from our 2013 France trip. The restaurant is delightful and the food is superb. Service was terrific. The decor was modern and orange :). Comfortable seating and an attractive menu. Price was a bit high but we felt that the quality of the food was worth the cost.Merci de votre avis et au plaisir de vous accueillir dans notre nouvel établissement.
