Food is ok, menu is a bit sparse on choice. Strange combination of Chicken Satay with a Fried Egg on top with a fish cracker. Steak was good and Club Burger is good. Venison stew also good at average. Staff are well mannered and very attentive.

Bij Sib is quite a new restaurant in Emmen. We went there for dinner with the family, and although the food is really really good, there are definitely a few things that can be improved. For example, it took quite a while before someone came to take our order for drinks, the same happened with the food. On top of this, we had to wait long before we received our food. It wasn't possible to order tap water (only mineral water, which we, of course, had to pay for). The menu was not really readable, and it looked like some random dishes were put on the menu, without thinking of an overall theme. The fact that the food was really good and the staff was very friendly definitely improved our experience. Therefore, I hope that the things described above will be taken into account and hopefully improved by the restaurant, because they have the potential to become one of the better restaurants of Emmen!

Lovely restaurant beautifully decorated in the heart of town. There were quite a number of us and the had a lovely large booth style family table. We were served by very warm and welcoming staff, who happened to be twins, so everything felt very speedy! The food was fresh, large portions and vegetable bowls were refilled at no charge. The dessert menu is very comprehensive offering a large array of ice creams. The food was reasonably priced and we would certainly return.

Well, the title says a lot, doesn't it. Perhaps I'm being a bit negative, but after visiting them 3 times I keep getting the feeling that I should not come again. One time I was there I requested that I would not like a scoop of chocolate ice cream in my trio of ice, but rather have an extra vanilla instead.. I was gobsmacked when they told me that I could only order what the menu said !.. ( still can't get my head around that ) Last time I had no choice as the other restaurants were fully booked, so we just sat there outside, waiting for someone to come by.. ....... which took a while... and when someone came, we asked for the menu, ............ which never came, so we collected it ourselves. and after reading that for a kids menu under 12 y.o. the child would have to prove it by an ID, that's when I stood up and went. Perhaps its just me.. ( but no, I guess its just them )

Lekker gegeten hier bij ons bezoek aan onze vakantiebungalow. Je kunt kiezen tussen een frietje in de snackbar of een lekker 3gangen diner in het andere gedeelte. Eten is prima. Prijs-kwaliteitverhouding is zeer goed! Mooie afsluiter voor een dagje uit want je zit geen uren maar bent ook niet in 5 minuten weer thuis!

Having been here a few times, I was surprised that the restaurant was listed no. 22 of restaurants in Emmen when It could be a lot better then that. Almost all ingredients are there, but the right recipe has not been found yet. Location is not bad, and the place has a very nice feel to it. We were sitting outside in a spacious aria at the front of the restaurant. Drinks were served quickly. So, the setting was there. But what was missing ? Hmm perhaps that the food was just good, nothing special. Meat ( Rib Roast ) a bit dry, and the tomato soup was almost a diluted Pasta sauce. Too creamy and cheesy. but all in all, not bad at all. The service was kind and helpful but during dinner they left the table unattended for too long of periods. I guess the place just needs a bit more professionalism. Paying a bit more attention to details. Taking away used plates quicker, and come by a bit more often to check for drinks. So, could be better, but 22nd is certainly not deserved !
