Gourmand reopens August 16th with breakfast, brunch, lunch and take away. See you soon. Hours: Friday, Saturday and Sunday 8:15 am-4:30 pm
I went there several times during my stay (breakfast and lunch). Location is great and the place is peaceful. Owners and waiters are super friendly. Food is definitely one of the best I had in South America if youâre looking for simple dish and French cuisine.

LPC is a âpetitâ restaurant in the âCiudad Viejaâ of Montevideo, in the touristic Peatonal SarandÃ. We make contemporary cuisine with the application of classic French cuisine adapted to the Uruguayan market. Come to visit us!
Please note the restaurant moved a month ago to a new address nearby, Sarandi 331.You will really need to watch carefully, the entrance is too discreet. The new premises are much larger. Everything about this lunch was terrific. The venue is very well presented. Clean and tasteful. The kitchen looks great. The toilets were spotless. The staff were welcoming and forgiving of our clumsy Spanish (and French!). I ordered the spinach ravioli, my wife the pork with pumpkin puree and vegetables. We were given an aperitif, some beautiful bread with citrus butter and an eggplant chia puree. Then a shot glass of soup. Very nice to have these little extras. The food was very good. The ravioli was just right. The desert was great. The coffee was good. The staff were really helpful. The wine, by the glass was so nice, we had the bottle. It shows when people are making an effort in a restaurant. They all were, the cooks, the wait staff, management.Highly recommended. Fine cuisine in Montevideo.

I had heard this restaurant was good but when we walked in, somewhat sweaty and underdressed, I was alarmed to see the elaborate place settings--think many, many forks--and thought oh it's one of those restaurants. That said, we were there late in the afternoon and practically had the place to ourselves. The service was formal but not over the top. And the prices were fair. I'd particularly recommend the trio of ceviche and the chocolate dessert. Both were delicious The decor was a little odd. The walls are hung with paintings of young women in sultry posed. It was a little jarring.

I have been to this lovely restaurant so many time since it opened! We love going there with friends, or taking the kids, since the food is outstanding, the ingredients extremely fresh (yesterday we had brotola, the local and delicious fish) the service wonderfully friendly and the atomosphere pleasant and relaxed. The builing is an old house, beautifully restored, in front of lovely Plaza del Vigia, with its tower that can be seen from the patio. It really is fine dining for a mid-range price.

South American wine restaurant with great selection in wine list and more that 15 options by the glass. International cuisine with a french touch. Bistrot style. Great for sharing different plates and wine. located in the heart of Punta Carreta's gastrono
We stumbled across Baco by accident and loved it. Exquisite venue, perfect hosts, great range of wines intelligently served. Food was beautifully presented, fresh, and innovative. Highly recommended
