A small, family-run restaurant with a beautiful view over the Provençal hills - especially enjoyable in the spring and summer when one can eat outside on the terrace.Wonderfully inventive, delicious dishes to please any palate. And, they are very accommodating for special diets.

We discovered this place when looking for coffee and crepes and really enjoyed it. Our golden mistake was not to book any of the main restaurants for Bastille day, but this place happily took us in for steak and wine. Although obviously catering for tourists it was alsompatronised by allot of friendly locals which is always a good sign.

When I first came here almost a year ago I was truly blown away, the size of the portions, the quality of ingredients and the variety and size of the menu, they could cater for anyone and everyone with options from beef or chicken to fish. However when I returned, a day I had waited and longed for, I left most dissatisfied. A new menu means half the options as before and a real lack of variety. The true disappointment came when the burgers were brought out, almost a third smaller than they used to be and the classic French fried switched out to sloppy thick cut chips. The bacon on the âtripple cheese and baconâ was just basic thin cut ham and a disturbing amount of pickles turned the bun back to a soft dough, impossible to hold with a modecom of dignity. I suspect it was over economisation that has leaded to the downfall, as with a lot of once good restaurants... never substitute quality of the food for quantity of sales and customers in the food and restaurant business! Lastly, with no openable windows and one measly fan without an oscillating option. What once was a delicious, family run establishment had stumbled into an over economised oven.

The restaurant is actually called Hangar #1 and is located within the Spa Ventoux Provence. There is a lovely terrace in the summer and a well decorated smallish dining room. The menu is innovative and well-balanced with many healthy choices. The chef has a deft hand with fruit-based sauces and uses very fresh ingredients... all of the meat, seafood, and vegetables were top quality (there were eight of us so I was able to sample a number of dishes!). There are a number of salad choices for those who wish a lighter meal, and the fixed-price menu structure is flexible enough to have any number of courses. Wine list is limited but very well considered with a number of organic wines, and not too expensive. I would highly recommend this as a place for lunch or dinner, whether as an interlude during the SPA visit or as a food destination in and of itself.

We really didn't expect too much from this restaurant. Nevertheless, we were disappointed. Our half bottle of wine was way overpriced for what we got. We chose the daily menu for nineteen euros. The appetizer consisted of three totally mushy shrimp - I have never encountered seafood of that consistency anywhere and have no idea what they did to it. The side salad was puny, yet tasty. Our main was pork cheek which was good and ample, but not freshly made. The only side they served us was an unidentifiable small round of breaded cheese ???. There was no dessert included in the price, just coffee. The service was fine. In the dining room you feel a bit like you are in a hotel reception area. It was heated though which made a big difference on a chilly day. Overall, we felt like we did not get good value for money - I'm not sure if we got the tourist treatment. My French is okay, but not good enough to complain, otherwise I may have done that. We had some very nice meals in Provence, unfortunately this was not one of them.

Based on the reviews here on TA we visited this small place. It's a gem amongst the other restaurants in Malaucene. Suggest to make a reservation though especially on weekend nights. We came here twice, that says a lot ;-)First time I had the burger of the week. It was delicious! It was a burger with ratatouille and pesto cream. The combination of the flavors tasted heavenly. The kids also enjoyed their kids cheese burger. Second time I came I had the chicken sesame stir fry. Taste was very good but the portion size was small. I could have had more. Hence I took a dessert which was yummy too but way too overpriced.Nevertheless a nice hot spot if you want to have something different than the typical provenciale food you find in nearby places.

We made reservations by telephone from California and Iâm glad we did. It is deservedly popular. The young man at the front of the house was kind and welcoming. We had an excellent meal and one weâll remember because of the imaginative presentations and wonderful flavors of the food.Isobel had the moules, sans shells, in a sauce to die for. I had an egg dish in a light foam sauce which was heavenly. Both dishes were decorated with flowers and we ate the lot!Next came cocquille and John Dory brochettes for Issy and a confit of lamb for me.A super, super meal and yes weâd come back in a heart beat!
