Avis uniquement sur le bar terrasse extérieure où on est accueilli par des beaufs du coin par "rentrez chez vous".Bien évidemment je déconseille fortement ces lieux.

Gastronomy and a traditional welcome Alongside the stunning views at an altitude of 1000 m, enjoy the rich flavours and aromas of Haute-Loire. Here, between Auvergne and Ardèche, food is synonymous with friendliness, generosity, celebration and quality. A
I donât know if they have changed owners but our food certainly was not the same as images shown. The aperitifs were tinned olives, then came the amuse buche, dry mini burgers, stale toast with a dry sardine, awful. The starters were poorly done and the mains stodgy and large, very brasserie level and I can cook what they presented, the deserts were very good but the rest was very mediocre.HelloWell no, the owner has not changed and you see me sorry for not being able to satisfy you.It is also regrettable that you have not taken the time to tell me about your disappointment during your meal or departure. On my side, however, I have took a lot of time to answer each of your requests and the 10th mail you sent me before arriving in our hotel.Practicing a cuisine based on fresh seasonal products, it is normal that the dishes are not the same as on the old photos because our carte changes very regularly â¦The accompaniment of your aperitif are what are called broken olives, organic, garlic or provencal. The small producer who makes them in a traditional way will probably be very surprised that you think it is canned.I always find amazing the words that some people behind their screen can have... you did not like, okay, it's horrible? shocking ? no, I do not think so. Especially since we have excellent feedback on the quality of our chef's cuisine and especially the appetizer with slice of sardines, tomatoes and virgin sauce â¦You can cook what is presented? perfect, so what? we have never claimed to revolutionize the kitchen but on the contrary sublimated the beautiful and good products of our region, all in simplicity and humility.Do not forget that cooking at home for 2 people with no limit of time is very different from cooking 100 meals every day in a given period of time, for people waiting for the slightest mistake to take you to the pillory. The image is a little strong but it is sometimes the impression that we, restaurateurs, have while very often we gave ourselves without counting to satisfy you â¦Regards

if you know Chambon S/lignin, this is the place to stay.Nice people welcome you to a magic place that is surrounded by vegetation and epic area that saved more than 5,000 Jews during World War Two ( visit the museum ) to learn that people see other people as human beings rather than by their religion. Fishing, horse back riding and trails are quite nice, along with mushrooms and berries picking. The food is great.

We were looking for a place in which to eat on a Monday evening, many restaurants in France are closed on Mondays, and one of our French friends suggested L'Abre Vagabond. We were not disappointed. The restaurant is in an idyllic setting amid the trees and fields of this little known part of France. The restaurant is approached via narrow roads, fortunately there are signs. On arrival we received a warm and courteous welcome from Monsieur Manier. The dining room is not large, but is calm and one is surrounded by books and works of art. This is a restaurant within a bookshop. On the first visit we were offered a simple menu consisting of a starter, a choice of main courses and a choice of two desserts. The food was beautifully prepared and presented, being based on local organic produce. The wine list was interesting. All of the wines are organic and although being used to French wine lists, these wines were all new to us, but help was at hand, Monsieur came to our rescue and suggested a wine to complete our main courses. His choice was well received and as bonus was good value for money. The whole experience was delightful, even the understated background music seemed appropriate. We enjoyed our visit so much that we returned the following week.I understand that during the day, tapas and plates of cheese and charcuterie are available.I would recommend booking.

We visited this restaurant while staying overnight in le Chambon sur Lignon. What a find. The outside does not do it justice as it looks like a basic bar but the food was amazing. All local fare, beautifully and lovingly prepared and presented. It is a family run business and Philippe, the owner, was very welcoming. We both had starters, main course, cheese, apéros, excellent wine (red and white) digestif and coffee for the princely sun of 74 euros. Incredible !! And to cap it all as it started snowing Philippe drove us back to our hotel. We cannot recommend this restaurant high enough. It is a real find. Taken over by Philippe and his family only one year it is already a spectacular successThank you very much, you were happy to spend a moment in our establishment, and this is our great satisfaction, It was very nice to receive you at home. Come back when you want. Best regards. Philippe

The Le bourbon hotel is very clean and well decorated, but a bit expensive at 70 euros per night. The restuarant is very good, the decore is delightful and the food very good if not a bit expensive. We expected the restuarant to be open more that it was. We arrived on Friday to be told that the restuarant was booked out the a group. We did eat their on Saturday, it was closed Sunday and Monday evening and we came home on Tuesday.
