We sing with Plymouth Philharmonic Choir & recently toured Brittany. On the last evening the choir had dinner at Le Jardin de LâAber and had a marvellous time. The area is very pretty & the restaurant is very clean & well presented with many natural stone walls etc.The food was excellent & the service for 50 people was extremely good with helpful & pleasant waitresses. We could not have picked a better restaurant to finish our tour on our last night & thoroughly recommend it.Well done Le Jardin de LâAber.

We had a weekend visiting the Finistere region of France, and on driving around after lunch we decided to stop for a coffee at this small harbour and came upon this little restaurant/bar. On entering the bar, the coffee was soon forgotten as we saw on the blackboard 'Tapas' and my favourite seafood Winkles and my husband's favourite Oysters. My winkles were served with french bread and butter and the oysters with a vinegrette of eschalots. Both sooo yummy and tasty. The hosts were very welcoming and we will definitely return to savour their fruits de mer in their restaurant, which was busy with many very contented customers. It was such a treat to be served so many winkles as usually they only come with a fruit de mer. I'll definitely be returning.

We were starving. It was 7pm, very early for French culture. Nevertheless, we decided to go. The cider is really outstanding. Very tasty, fruity with the right amount of acid. One of the best, I ever drank. Try it please. The crepes are ok but I ate better ones. They lack the crispy feeling we appreciate a lot in crepes. The owner is extremely friendly. We were surprised to find an open Creperie in this little village by a sad and depressing end of October day. Recommendation : try it the owner is very friendly and the customers are awesome.

I was lucky enough to be taken to this restaurant as a birthday treat. The restaurant looks out towards the coast and is in a stunning location. The tables are spaced out leaving plenty of room so it does not feel cramped. Our table was big enough to seat eight people (there were only four of us!) and was almost too big! The food was sublime and having eaten at Michelin starred restaurants in England I can honestly say, the food is right up there. Everything was cooked to perfection and everyone at the table was of the same opinion. I had lisette marinee au curry Corsaire followed by Bouillabreizh and then abricots confits au poivre de Sichuan, mousse legere chocolat amer, creme glacee gingembre. The canapes and amuse bouche were equally delicious. Chef Julien Marseault came out from the kitchen and spoke to the guests which I always think is a nice touch. I cannot fault the food at all and my only slight criticism is at times the service was a little lacking, especially when it came to topping up the wine. Overall this was truly one of the best meals I have ever had in a restaurant and I hope that Julien does gain a Michelin star.

We don't buy crêpes unless we are in Britanny ! So this is one of the best crêpérie I have ever tried ! I ordered the one with "fromage, andouille, oeuf" It was just excellent ! I also had tasted in another restaurant in another area in Britanny, but my kids and even my husband who is from the town, was very proud to have taken me there. "Complète" is my daughter's favorite ! The only negative factor is the table and chairs outside in the terrasse are not so comfortable, they are old and perhaps needs some refurbishing.... I have never sat inside...there is sun and we love to enjoy the sunshine!!!

There's not a huge amount of choice when it comes to places to eat in Lanildut, Brittany. It's a pretty seaside village boasting not much more than a sailing centre, a very good campsite and a small grocery. But luckily it also has Auberge de la Mer - an excellent eatery in the middle of the village commanding a lovely view of the estuary. We were very late for lunch - probably about 2pm - but the staff were very accommodating. We were shown to spacious dining area overlooking the river. The menu was quite a bit fancier than we were expecting (as four scruffy cycle tourists in search of lunch) and we were very pleased to find a selection of fish and meat dishes. For the three of the four of us who don't eat meat, the fish dishes provided a welcome choice with lots of interest. Bread and butter arrived in plentiful quantities. We enjoyed the lovely view as we waiting for our meal. I chose a Marmite - a fish stew in a heavy individual tureen. it was outstanding. The creamy sauce complemented the mixed seafood and fish to perfection, and it arrived with a good portion of rice. Our friend had steak au poivre and frites and reported that it was pretty good and cooked exactly as he ordered it. My daughter and husband had fish with a saffron cream sauce. The fish was pollock - a cheap fish but well cooked - and it arrived with massive quantities of potatoes which had been cooked, cooled and refried in butter. They were nothing short of amazing, and absolutely brilliant food for tired legs that have cycled a long way. We really enjoyed this meal and felt lucky to have stumbled across this charming restaurant for lunch. The waitress did not speak English but we got by with our stumbling French and she was very nice about it. A real find.

If you are in the area it is a must do to try the food in this restaurant. The variety is compelling and the choice of menu mouth watering.Wether it is crepes, steaks, or moules frites or the vast selection of other foods, take your time to decide and take you time over the dish. The service was fast, friendly and efficient . You did not feel you had to wait or that ,even on busy nights ,you were being rushed.Go in hungry, for if the mains are good, be prepared for the deserts. The Chocolate Mouse and Creme Brûlée d Maison .... Wow!A treat of a menu with an excellent choice of drinks.

We arrived without a reservation and managed to get a table. Five minutes later the place was full/ Excellant menu, local, high quality fish and seafood with very attentive service. A very welcoming dining room with a view of the chefs at work, a superb position right on the water.

A strange place: part library part lounge, part concert venue, part restaurant. Decently varied menu with well-cooked and presented food at prices par for the course. Let down by slow service (the lass on duty did ordering, delivering and bar duty all on her own) and although the food was OK it wasn't as good as that at the Porsmeur just around the corner.

Since 2005 Claudine, Yvéric and Pierre-Yves Mony welcome you at L' Auberge de Bel air Located between Brélès and Lanildut, The hostel is housed in a granite house dating back to 1832. Restaurant and breakfast is served in a rustic dining room with ceiling
This isn't just a meal it's a whole French experience! Fabulous local food, imaginatively served the flavours and food combinations are superb. Set in an old manor house on the banks the estuary. This is a real family affair, the Chef cooks in front of the diners whilst his wife and other members of the family wait-on. One of the best meals we've had in years - we will return!
