Driving through the region came upon this restaurant. Very busy, which is a good sign. Only menu de jour available, but that was a lovely salad with lardons and poached egg, grilled sausage and baked potato, cheese, then creme brûlée. All with water and wine. Excellent. Firmly marked on the map for when we pass again.

I was taken to Campagnac du Causses by friends. It was a cold evening so a wood fire made the restaurant warm and welcoming. The waiter was friendly and spent time explaining the menu and the specialities of the day. The menu was not large but offered a balanced choice and we each found different dishes to enjoy.Every course was excellent and the meal was finished nicely with "mouth-watering" sweets.I will come again when I am in the area and recommend this restaurant to all my friends.

What a wonderful restaurant.Baked Camembert with sweet roast onions was fantastic.Followed by the smoked beef served in a sealed kilner jar, and delicious veg and ravioli with Cavecou. Finally chocolate pudding with vanilla ice cream.Alex and Flo were excellent hosts and talked about the menu with a real passion.Do not hesitate pay them a visit.Hi lanWO5Thanks for your visit and for taking time to write a rewiew on Tripadvisor. It counts a lot for us, to know if our guests had a good time at our place. and we are very happy you did. We're looking forward to seeing you again.

My wife and I have enjoyed two absolutely delicious meals at this restaurant. They were imaginatively prepared and presented, with great flavor, fresh natural ingredients, and emphasis on local products. Benjamin, the maitre d', greets guests warmly, and provides timely, responsive and pleasant service, while his wife does the cooking (and takes care of their new baby). This sort of duo is a time-honored tradition in France, and this particular marriage made in culinary heaven is no exception. Nothing, nothing can compare with this kind of hands-on, attentive service, and cuisine "soigneusement preparée." It makes for memorable meals, and great dining experiences. We highly recommend this establishment. Each evening we were there, there were also young couples with children, and it was clear that Benjamin, a new father himself, was extremely kind to them. What a good guy.

"Les bonnes tables du Lot"..a strong and great organism that offers our guests the best of this département peu connu:But we were not satisfied but we think it's unfair to not distinguish between food and service. It offers good and typical food of this region. We cannot complain.- Prices were , compared to other members fair and you could recommend it for a family happening. But if it pretends to be a real part of les bonnes tables du Lot...mes chers, then you have to work harder!- We made a reservation in perfect French ( we were located by our host) but the answer was ok, come when you like. Ok, no need to be posh but a bit of kindness means no harm.- Service was frankly speaking below of what you expect : You cannot use an unexperienced lady to open a good bottle of wine...no amuses bouches..some olives...Service changed ..another lady...but we did not feel this French feeling of hospitality that is a must in les bonnes tables. We are not British..but we felt as if...I can make a distinction between a simple unpretending restaurant and a restaurant that wants to be more!Food was very good..here my stars for what was served. We were sitting ouside it started "raining" but noone to open the umbrellas. that's not asking for the crown! In fact I wanted to show the guests a good place...but there seems to be a problem between service and cuisine.you can have a 3 star cook but if service is bad...forget it.French love to make long distances to eat delisciously..we did as well ( 1 hour ) but it's not worth it if you want to eat in a top restaurant!I would like to say to the owner: HEY DO NOT GIVE UP WHAT YOU ONCE WERE! MAKE IT A PRIDE AND JOY FOR THE GUEST! BE AMBITIOUS!My stars go to the kitchen.- And to the atmosphere!

Upon arrival, the location didn't impress, but there were plenty of diners there on a Tuesday night. The service was attentive, and the food was timely and absolutely delicious. My husband had the onion soup, which was a meal in itself, while I had the gesier salad with foie gras, and the magret, with creme brulee to finish. The portions were just the right size, and the wine and aperitifs extremely good.Very highly recommended as an experience in good French food.
