My hubby and I had dinner here with a friend. We usually go to the restaurant next door but they werenât serving food. So happy that this forced us to try this restaurant upstairs. We really hadnât realised what a lovely place it is. Our friend and I both had moules et Frites and hubby had jambon et Frites. Everything was delicious. The portions of mussels were huge, neither of us could finish them. Consequently we couldnât fit in a dessert but the ones being served on other tables looked good! Service was excellent too!Weâll definitely be back!thank you very much for your nice comment. It's a pleasure to see you again

this village is amazing! very relaxing. sadly vieux quartier combines despite its phantastic and very pleasant location all the bad things you expect from french restaurants in this part of brittany.good menu. my own fault to order beef carpaccio in a french restaurant. manageress found out very quickly thant is was INEDIBLE. cut like saltimbocca, not like carpaccio!no effort or sign of compensation. should have definitely been taken off the bill. no attempt.pudding was fine but not good enough to compensate for very average main course.attention to detail very limited. good wine and when you order something that generates profit things happen quickly. ice cubes, not a profit leader, much more difficult.advice: because of the great location have an aperitif but eat elsewhere. homest sandwich would have been more enjoyable.

We went with friends to Le Sarah B, on Saturday off season, so not a lot of restaurants open. Sarah B doesn't take reservations, we got there a bit later than maybe we should have, and were told "sorry, no tables available". One of our friends spent a few minutes in animated (in French) conversation and we got lucky with a table for four in the top level, usually a drinks and Tapas spot. We ordered from the main menu anyway. Two of us shared their Smoked grilled rib chop (beef) and it was AMAZING. A distinctive smoky crust yet perfectly rare (en point) main cut, served simply with three small sauces (onion chutney, blue cheese and herbed butter) and a nice bowl of frites. The meat was beautifully tender, flavorful and IF I had been home I'd have been gnawing on the bone at the end of the meal. One of us chose a fish, Fillet of Lieu Noir, or Pollock, and it was said to be delicious. The fourth chose a vegetarian burger and she too said it was delicious.Desserts were 2 Nougat Glacé, a tart au citron, and a fourth we don't remember.Service was good, even though the place was packed. There are three or four levels and seating is tight but not jammed.

Creperie, bar, tea room, ice cream parlor. Delicatessen, cellar corner and teas at retail. Gourmet baskets, gifts. Service in terrace on the pretty place of the Bouffay and room inside, air-conditioned the summer.
We discovered this gorgeous cafe in this beautiful village and were very pleased we did. The staff were very friendly and welcoming and their English was helpful as we tried to decipher the menu. The salads were delicious! The cheese ice cream was something different. Lots of interesting nic nacs and giftware available to purchase. A great place to eat. We are very nice to meet you and happy to see you again. Many thanks.

We received a warm welcome from the manageress who spoke good English. We had the formulae which was a drink, a savoury galette and a sweet crepe for 11 Euros each. I will definitely go again.

I think the Pourquoi Pas is in a lovely setting, but we were there for dinner during a downpour, inside and dry. But it's facing the water, so a sunny day should be wonderful. The offerings on the menu are extensive. Most of our fellow diners were having mussels, but my non seafood loving husband and I both took an Italian route. He had a calzone, and I had a pizza. Both were large, hearty, and delicious. We actually started by sharing a salad, which was plenty large enough to make two good entrees. The service was very friendly and attentive, and prices were reasonable. An interesting extra- there was a large box of toys available for young diners. Two little boys at a nearby table were most happy to entertain themselves with dinosaurs and small cars while Grandma and Grandpa enjoyed their post mussels glass of wine. Nice touch!

Our typical creperie is located in the historical heart of La Roche Bernard village, next to the artcraft neighbourhood. In addition of traditional galettes and pancakes, we propose grilled meat, salads and mussels (during summer season). From april until
A very special place, because of its ambiance, unsurpassable and delicate food, and a personnel of exceptional professionalism. It has 2 rooms that have enough space for roughly 50 people, and 2 private terraces. The menu is rich, refined, diverse, a culinary delight: Gallettes, Grillades, Moules, Crepes, Glaces. The bear offers a complex selection of traditional drinks, of superior quality. The bartender speaks English; he is flexible and dedicated to having an irreproachable demeanor. He is friendly, offers required information regarding the menu and is open to requests from clients. This is where you come as a simple person who wants to eat, and leave feeling special, having had a wonderful experience.

We were recommended here by some knowledgeable locals who spoke highly of the cooking. But it took ages for our order to be taken and the first hint of food did not show up for 45 minutes. And although we had discussed in decent French what my lactose intolerant partner could eat, the main course-a nice piece of fish-arrived covered in butter. When we reminded the waiter of our earlier conversation, it was whisked away with no apology but a large Gallic shrug. The replacement fish was severely undercooked at which point we gave up and paid up. Nobody seemed to care. More shrugs. A pity.
