My wife and myself are currently visiting Provence as part of a 40-strong Great Rail Journeys Tour Group and earlier today we visited the lovely Village of Lâisle-sur-la-Sorgue where we lunched at the riverside (one of many) restaurant La Balade des Saveurs. The staff looked after us very well and the delicious 3-course meal (Smoked Salmon, Shepherds Pie & Crete Caramel topped with chocolate) was accompanied with wine. The Group - who were all seated together in the outside area by the river - certainly went away happy and this is Restaurant I would have no difficulty in recommending to other visitors.

Small bistro serving high quality, house made dishes from fresh and local ingredients. Sober and modern decor. Air Condition
This is a pretty new restaurant in L'isle. It was very hot the day we were there so we sat in the dining room, air conditioned for comfort. The food is beautifully prepared with the flavours of Provence used to great effect. Food bursting with flavour such as Cavaillon melon for starter and chicken with a lovely risotto and nougat glace to finish. Great. Service was excellent, all in all first class.

Lovely secret location, in an old townhouse, on the banks of the Sorgue. Waterfront wine bar with flower-filled internal courtyard for summer dining or fireplace for the winter, with exposed stone décor and unique, intimate atmosphere. Cosy and luxury com
We have tried a few restaurants in the town and I think that this is probably the best. Lovely central location and cool interiors with river running under the floor in glass. We had the middle menus around 30 and had some lovely food and lovely amuse bouche. Thought the foie gras was a little too cold and was the weakest dish. I had pastry encrusted chicken which was really superb

Food was attractively presented but for me was style over substance. For instance I had the carpaccio of octopus which looked really nice but was a bit bland to eat.The restaurant has very nice views but I think parking a car nearby can be tricky if you're not there early.

Lunch was excellent, then we learned they were closed for 2 weeks for a well deserved vacation, so we booked for dinner the same day. No regrets!! So tasty, reasonably priced, and delivered with friendly service. If youâre n a hurry, donât bother. But being patient is well worth the wait. Totally enjoyed everything.

We have loved this restaurant; the food, the service, and the ambiance have always been more than deserving of their high accolades. Today, however, we encountered service unparalleled. When my purse fell into the Sorgue River and was on its way out to sea, lovely Natalie, the sommelier, kicked off her shoes, climbed over the rail and swam to rescue my bag. Her chic black outfit and beautiful red braid were dripping wet when she returned but she only had a smile and gracious words. This is the kind of service and employee that deserves the highest of praise, and is exemplary of the attitude of the entire staff. We look forward to returning for more wonderful meals!Thank you so much for your kind and warm coments, I hope that no one else will take the idea from reading your review to test Natalie's or the rest of the team swimming abilities :-) Our warmest regards, we will remember you for sure and look forward to welcoming you back at Le Vivier

Four of us off season in October. We stumbled upon Islo at about 6:30 pm and asked for a 7 pm reservation. Even off season we saw people turned away later. The waitress was very pleasant and enthusiastic and let me use my rusty French. All aspects of the meal were fabulous. The men did the menu and the women chose appetizers only. Some sharing after that... mostly at the tasty dessert.About 75 euros per couple with wine and tip.

We stopped here for lunch on a Thursday. The service was really friendly (one of the French waiters speaks perfect English) and the food was top notch. You could tell everything was freshly made with quality ingredients and reasonably priced. I would definitely recommend this restaurant.
Xavier MATHIEU created his bistro in one of the rooms of the hostellerie and outdoors around a fountain recreating the atmosphere of a place of our charming villages. We offer a contemporary and simple cuisine based on family traditions with the best prod
