A rainy evening in Kaysersberg, but we dined in a pleasant and cosy inside space. We both chose traditional dishes - a beackaoffe of rabbit and choucroute with three fish. My choucroute was pleasantly mild and retained some crunch. It came with three decent-sized pieces of well-cooked fish. The rabbit was apparently tender and tasty. I had a crème brulee with bergamot - only faintly redolent of bergamot, but nice nonetheless. Good wine, a little pricier than in other establishments perhaps.Friendly and attentive service - chef came to check we were satisfied too. We were.

The quiche Lorraine was the best ever - so intensely flavoured and a silky texture. Husband's confit duck leg tender as it should have been. Fraises local of course, and the café gourmand a masterpiece. Excellent value and lovely staff.

We wanted to celebrate a family member's birthday and chose this restaurant upon a recommendation from a local. The decor is very nice and cosy, but that's about here that the positive ends. The staff had the memory of a goldfish (not remembering preferences of the table), didn't speak much English (or rather didn't want to) and I consistently had to pour my own water (I'm a big girl and have no problem doing so, but expected that kind of service in a Michelin starred restaurant with the above average price tag). The food was ok, but failed to wow me. Will not come back. Thank you for your visit and your message. Delighted that the cooking pleased you

This is a lovely restaurant on the main artery that weaves through the medieval town of Kaysersberg. We dined here twice during our short, four-day stay. The restaurantâs personnel was charming and friendly (all women as far as we could see). Some English was spoken, but if it wasnât, it didnât matter. The language of smiles and hospitality was spoken here. The food was tasty, fresh and creative. There was a slightly less expensive lunch menu, but generally a meal was on the pricey side, but well worth it. We were pleased to see a vegetarian three-course meal and the desserts were delicious, especially the fresh fruit cocktail with ice cream and a liquer.Dear H_J_Berlin,Thank you very much for your coment, we hope to see you soon !Best regards,Restaurant du Château

Food is extremely tasty and innovative, from the apéritif through to the coffee.Great use of local produce, from fish through game meat to vegetables. Fish course was cooked to perfection and game meat course was sublime.Quirky take on Flammekuche. Great cheese selection. Rhubarb based ice cream and chocolate dessert were outstanding.Service is seamless.Highly recommend.

We came for lunch and were blown away. It was such a lovely place and the food was excellent. We started with a glass of wine outside in the garden - really nice and relaxing. The 3-course meal in the restaurant was tasty and all the courses were beautifully presented. The price for lunch is 32 euros - and that is a bargain. With wine and coffee we paid around 100 euros and we will definitely come back next time we're in Alsace. We really recommend this restaurant.

Diverse menu selection. Alsatian wines. Innovative desserts. All in a lovely setting of maybe 20 seats. Reservations required. Friendly husband and wife team are superb. No fixed price menus which was actually good for us as we were not looking for a formal dinner.

Whilst the food we had here was perfectly adequate, our evening was completely ruined by the dreadful service and poor attitude shown by the waiting staff. We sat down and ordered at 7.20 and by 9.00, having had our starters, were still waiting for our main courses. When they finally came I expressed (politely) our dissatisfaction, but again we ended up waiting to have those plates cleared away and the offer of dessert. By this time it was too late and I eventually managed to catch the eye of the waitress who offered no apology and was really quite rude in her manner, She said they were busy (which they weren't), but in my experience and opinion, restaurants shouldn't have more covers than they can cope with, and should certainly be more polite when customers are understandably frustrated. The table next to us were having similar issues, and they also left without ordering dessert or more drinks.
