We chose O Bistrot at random from the various options in Gourdon- maybe we should have read the reviews first! We were seated quickly, brought drinks and ordered. My husband was warned that his choice would take at least 15 minutes to prepare, so he opted for an entree as well. This was brought, enjoyed, finished... and then the wait began! A further 50 minutes later, while watching other tables work their way through several courses, our food finally arrived. Our two young children were absolutely starving and fed up by then: surely the first rule of serving families is to get the children fed first! We werenât offered any other drinks while waiting, and had long ago finished our aperitif. My dish was not what I ordered but frankly I was too hungry to change it. The food was good, but after such a long wait it was finished in 15 minutes flat. My husband ordered coffee while the children had desserts: theyâd already finished their ice creams before he had to ask another waitress to bring his coffee, which had been forgotten. Paying the bill took a further age as the woman operating the till couldnât read our waitressâs handwriting! Overall, a disappointment for our last holiday meal.

After having eaten in a variety of other places in Gourdon, we were attracted to this restaurant by it's varied menu which catered for all tastes within our family. We were seated in a delightful terrace upstairs which was cool and pleasent. We chose a variety of dishes which included a seasonal assiette, a local terroir menu and a burger! Everyone was delighted by the taste, quality and service of our meal, and the final bill was extremely reasonable. We shall definitely be returning to this restaurant.

Excellent lunchtime menu. great buffet bar for starter, excellent selection. 4 courses with wine 13 euro. Good service, fantastic views. As well as the lunchtime set menu they also offer a number of other interesting dishes. Very clean and smart restaurant, friendly service. We will be back!

My boss and I ended up there as we were starving and being mid-week in winter, we knew we wouldn't have much of a choice. We weren't disappointed by it! The patrons are from the Alps, so expect a lot of cheese!I had a great steak (faux filet) with a ceps and cheese side and mangetout. The plate was very well presented and really tasty. My boss had a savoury pancake (galette de sarazin) which was very filling, and she couldn't finish it. We also shared a beautiful creme brulee, and thankfully we shared it! We wouldn't have been able to have one dessert each! The wine we had was also from the Alps, and it was just gorgeous.I would love to come back in summer, where it would be busy and even more inviting. It was lovely to be welcomed so warmly considering they were about to pack up, as there was only one table filled.

Dans un cadre convivial La Notte est le passage incontournable lorsque vous etes en vacances dans ce beau village de Gourdon en Quercy.Fort d'une riche experience dans le domaine de la restauration ,le chef de cuisine Christophe Cessac et son epouse seron
We stopped here completely by chance. We had arrived on a fete day about 1pm so we expected to have difficulty finding a place to eat for a party of seven. La Notts was closest to our car park so we went there knowing that the children would eat pizza even if there was no other choice. After a 5 minute wait we were seated on the lovely terrace with views across the valley. The menu offered more than just pizzas but the adults settled for pizza and the kids had the children's menu of ham and frittes followed by ice cream. The pizzas were excellent. Despite our poor French, the staff were patient and friendly, even though they were very busy. Gourdon is a beautiful place and La Notte is a good place for lunch when you visit.

This cafe has only recently opened. It has inside and outside seating and provides free wifi. The staff is very pleasant and the service was friendly. We enjoyed our coffees and cakes.

The Central is on Gourdon's tour de ville and parking is plentiful. The satff are friendly and professional and the menu varied and balanced. Three of us had different salads for lunch, mine had two large slices of foie gras. We drank wine and coffee afterwards, and the bill was less than â¬50. Don't hesitate to eat here. It looks commercial, but its friendly and great value for money.

I propose a cuisine from fresh seasonal ingredients, primarily Lotois, mainly from farms located within a radius of 30km around Gourdon. All dishes are homemade We take time, drink good wine (in moderation) and enjoy the peace of the terrace. The meal is
This tiny little restaurant is, it seems, run by just one very talented man who takes your order, cooks (in a tiny kitchen) and then serves some delicious and amazingly well presented food. Well worth reserving a table here. It was a memorable experience.

This is easily a four star restaurant in a beautiful setting. Plenty of space between the tables with their linen table cloths. The menu is not over-long, but offers sufficient choices to please most palates. The owner is known to sometimes chat at a table for long periods, so you might need to catch his eye if you are waiting for something. His wife, in the kitchen, knows exactly what she is doing and turns out superb meals at reasonable prices.

We visited after hearing that this restaurant is popular with locals, this prooved to be the case as we had to wait almost an hour for a table. The restaurant is close to the centre of the Mediaeval town, and an ideal location for a wander after your meal. The menu offers range of grills, burgers, omelettes, and platters based around different meats. We ordered platters of duck and a steak, all were very well cooked, tasty and tender. The modest wine list concentrates on wines from the South West, the house Bergerac red is quite good. There is seating both inside and outside, service was friendly and helpful, with some English spoken.
