We are staying at a nearby bed and breakfast (10 minute drive) and they sent a car to pick us up and then dropped us off at the end of the evening. The driver, who was one of the servers, was very friendly. The service was good (most of them speak english) and the food was fantastic. We both had scallops with mushroom risotto and it was some of the best food we've experienced in our two week trip across France. Extensive wine list and a bit pricey, but hey - this is the land of some of the best, and most expensive wines in the world. Recommended.

This is my third visit in 2 years to Chez Jeannette and it lived up to expectations. The food is of good traditional quality and served very efficiently and with style. We had the 'menu gargantuesque' which is identical to the lesser priced gourmet menu but includes appropriate wines to accompany courses. It is thus pretty good value although perhaps some of the wines could have been a little more exciting, considering the location. The amounts were just right to amuse the palate without becoming any sort of trial to get through. THe cheese board on its chariot is amazing with over 30 cheeses.

As one of only a few restaurants in Gevrey-Chambertin, you're bound to be tempted to eat here if you're spending any time there as a tourist. Don't bother. The service is comically bad, almost like a training video was being filmed of what not to do. Considering the restaurant was packed full of tourists, the staff ignored everyone and were aloof - too good for the tourist trade that kept them in business. The food was salty, bland and expensive. The wine list was a novel but all ridiculously priced (but welcome to Burgundy) and good luck trying ask the staff for help.

When we planned our Burgundy trip Fixin was certainly not on our roadmap but it should be included in any Burgundy wine road trip. The old 12th century church, the few old houses and certainly this restaurant. Young, fresh and very friendly service and excellent food. If ever we come back to Burgundy, this restaurant is a must eat again!

Great meal!! Great service! Very kid friendly. We enjoyed our lunch very much. Started with a great quinoa salad with fresh tomatoes, followed by delicious skewered beef and finished with a great desert.

At Lucien Bistrot, the chefs with take you right into the heart of Burgundies traditions. You will discover authentic and modern dishes rich in flavor. Indoors or outdoors, for lunch or dinner, prepared with fresh products from the market for you to spend
Although called a Bistro this is a very special dining experience. A small menu (3 or 4 choices of appetiser, entree and dessert) but each dish is a mini masterpiece. The freshest of seasonal ingredients, thoughtfully presented. I had lamb that had been slow-cooked for 7 hours - superb. Starters were a beetroot salad with goats cheese and trout, also an unusual mixture of barley, stratciatella, peas, mint in a creamy sauce - it was divine. My husbands steak and fries were perfectly cooked. Our waiter suggested a wonderful local burgundy wine to accompany our meal. Great service.

During a visit with the vigneron Jean-Michel Guillon in Gevrey-Chambertin, he recommended we try this relatively new restaurant. We're glad we did. We had a lovely luncheon outside on the terrace and enjoyed freshly and thoughtfully prepared food. What really stood out was the service. The restaurant is run by a mother-daughter team that is focused on the care of their guests. I ordered a glass of wine and the lively younger member of the team, who knew we had visited Domaine Guillon, asked I might leave the choice to her. To my delight, she brought a glass of M. Guillon's wine. The restaurant is open only for lunch. It was a great value for the quality of food and service, and a relaxing stop for a leisurely lunch.

Welcome to the Smart, located in the very heart of Dijon, this establishment offers a restaurant awarded "Mâitre Restaurateur", a music bar and two nightclubs in ancien vaults, one of which can be rented for private parties. A unique concept in Burgundy
The Restaurant was ok, but first to say i would never go back and recommend the place. The host didn't take are coats, but all other guest. we had to wait 30min to order drinks, they ignored us, i guess because we were not french. they did ignore us most of the time. the food was not so good, its french cousin and not my favorite. the hotel we stayed at recommend it to us, but i think you need to be local to have a nice dinner at le smart.
