Enschede (Dutch pronunciation: [ˈɛnsxəˌdeː] ( listen)), also known as Eanske [ˈɛːnskə] in the local dialect of Twents, is a municipality and a city in the eastern Netherlands in the province of Overijssel and in the Twente region. The municipality of Enschede consisted of the city of Enschede until 1935, when the rural municipality of Lonneker, which surrounded the city, was annexed after the rapid industrial expansion of Enschede which began in the 1860s and involved the building of railways and the digging of the Twentekanaal.

Restaurant "Bij Rozendaal" is situated in a front part of the interesting museum "Twentse Welle". You can enter the restaurant from outside or through an inside door from the museum. Restaurant "Bij Rozendaal" serves food and drink, ranging from a coffee to a complete meal. The ambiance is not spectacular; more could be made of the heritage building. Service was distant. Nice for a sit-down after the museum visit, but not worth a detour.

I was in Enschede for business, so needed somewhere to eat. The town is full of restaurants, though as it is a student town they are often brash and cheap. With a colleague, I wandered round the centre and into back streets, eventually discovering Beiaards Bistro. It seemed like a civilised oasis in the midst of less refined fare, so we went in. The service was charming, the ambience pleasant - warm and not too noisy (we needed to talk), and the food delicious. I had a vegetable curry. We had struck lucky!

Great experience to visit this restaurant with the classy, vintage, vibrant Brigit Bardotvibe. Delicious dishes on the menu like seafruits and coq au vin, veggie options and choices for meatlovers too. Excellent for lunch and diner but also for drinks or cocktails with friends inside or outside on the terrace or in the garden behind. Fast, friendly service with a smile. Dont miss this great spot!

Visited the Restaurant as two couples to celebrate a birthday with guests from abroad. who happened to be on his birthday, we wanted something a bit classy and special. We were not disappointed, we got first class service as we informed the Restaurant before hand that it was for a birthday. Depending of what you ordered, it was tasty given we all had some sort of seafood., everything was cooked to perfection. They all have a good selection of wine and we chose South Africa and Argentinian, full bodied. The dessert also was delicious.La Roche is not far from town and one would not have to worry about pay parking as it has plenty both front and back of the Restaurant.. It is a very cosy restaurant and can find sitting to your liking.

We went with family for a nice diner and wanted to try this place. There is a nice wine-bar where you can start and after you can go to the restaurant. The staf is friendly and relaxed. We chose a 5 dishes menu including wine. The start was good but later we got pork-belly. Sorry but itâs just fat. I know fat gives a nice taste but only fat... hardly meet. Sorry not good for my cholesterol. The main-course tasted good. The wines with the menu could be a bit more exciting and power-full. Nice Italian, Spanish, South-Africa or Austria etc.

Visited here with the Groupon surprise menu deal. The waitstaff was very energetic though the restaurant quite empty. All together a good deal though we would have liked to see something other than chicken satay as the main course (we would never order that from a restaurant except as "street food.") The dessert was very tasty and the price good. The sharing concept and modern dishes, along with the interior, make it a unique place in the region. The restaurant caters for all diets, so pescetarians, vegetarians and vegans will definitely find multiple appealing dishes on the menu. The market-fresh fish, sea bass, was soft and delicious. The vegetables came from their own(!) farm which practices according to biologic principles, and were absolutely full of flavour. I have been here twice now, on a Friday and Saturday, which tend to get a little busy, so I would recommend going Wednesdays or Thursdays.

If you like fine dining in a relaxed environment with top quality, informal staff, this is thé restaurant in Enschede you have to go. Skip the card and ask the staff to decide for you. Food is fresh plus and perfectly prepared. Different ways of cooking and a lot of pure and matching flavours without getting too complicated. We went here yesterday for a 2pm High Tea. We had a very good time. The weather was great so we sat outside. There were several other tables with people there. There was one guy who did all the serving, but he was very quick and efficient.We never had to wait too long to get the hot water refilled or the coffee (for the people drinking coffee instead of Tea).The first course was Carpaccio. Very well made.Then we had the traditional 3 tier plate with numerious types of food on it (see inserted picture when I can post one).After that, we had a warm quiche which was very tasty!Lastly, we had tiramisu, again, very good!We went here via a Groupon. It was well worth the trip and money.Give it a shot if you like High Teas!!!
