Reviews on French food in Corsica, France. Corsica is a laid-back French island, with a breezy vibe that’s part European weekend and part tropical honeymoon. The port city of Bastia flings its arms wide open to weary travelers disembarking from a long ferry trip. For a truly charming Corsican experience, catch a train through the mountains to the beach, passing by rustic villages and grazing cows along the way. Take a few hours or even a few weeks to explore the island’s famous walking trails, including the varsity-level GR 20.

On the road to Tolla we decided to make a stop for luncheon in Bastelicaccia. The only restaurant we found was L'Annexe. Despite a late arrival, we have been warmly welcomed. The food was delicious, prices very reasonable and the service very friendly and efficient. Above all it was very clean.

In Ajaccio for 7 nights we were left disappointed by our first 3 dinners in various restaurants (Roi de Rome, LâAltru Versu, and St Pierre) but then came Le Bistrot Gourmand. Everything weâd been looking for.Beautiful freshly cooked food, charming service including a lovely explanation of the blackboard menu, a surprise amuse bouche, the best wine of the trip so far, and to top it off an amazing value for money set price for 3 courses (think it was 39 Euros but would have happily paid 49). My caprese type salad starter was the best Iâve ever had, and my husbandâs pork tart really knocked his socks off. The fillet steaks 10 out of 10 accompanied by delicious sauté potatoes, and the chocolate fondant for afters, wow!It was all so impressive that weâre breaking our rule of always going somewhere different for dinner and are going back in 2 nights time. Canât wait! Do book, itâs rightly popular (and have an aperitif in Chez Gerard by the coast opposite first or a coffee there after, great vibe and a great piano player).

This restaurant deserves the good reviews it receives. It is brilliantly placed, staff excellent and friendly Chose the discovery menu at 65 euros Each small dish was beautifully presented and tasted sensational My husband didn't want this menu but as everyone on the table had to have it, otherwise it wasn't posisble. He relucantly agreed and even he cme away saying "that meal just blew you away - each course gave you a different taste experience; HIGHLY RECOMMENDED

We were cycling in Corsica during Easter. It was a pure coincidence that we discovered this restaurant. Even with the cycling clothes we were warmly welcomed and served the best lunch in Corsica. The service was highest class possible. We felt very appreciated. Food was authentic corsican. Excellent menu and wine. Apperitif of myrth wine was beautiful. Next time we are in Corsica we are going there again!

My wife and I had a excellent meal here. Great setting, simple but well delivered food. Itâs slightly more formal than some of the other beach places but still relaxed and the food is significantly better. Cannot fault anything. Itâs right in the beach. You see kids playing and a few locals having a drink on the sand below you. Itâs calm and really nice with a lovely view across the sea. Really nice. The food is simple but well executed. Fresh fish, seafood pasta, lobster, tuna tartar, octopus ceviche etc. I think better for dinner than lunch but others may disagree. Why not 5*? I set the bar really high for 5* dinner places and tend to only rate the top michelin places at this level but many would rate this as 5* and I would completely understand why.

Was just great place to eat lunch, service and food was perfect. Prices are good regarding the amount of work they must put in a plate and knowing there were only two staff working in the whole restaurant one person for the service and the chef. Very welcoming people and great food Good morning, thank you for taking the time to write your opinion. We are very happy that you had a good time at " Le Petit Restaurant". Best regards, Eléonore et Jonathan

A Mustaccina, anciennement U Bel'Fiuritu.
